“I highly recommend Stephen at FM Design Build to anyone who is doing a remodel or addition, especially of an older home. Our 1800 sq ft project included a gut renovation including load bearing wall removal and 700 sq ft additional living space. Very good, timely communication. On time - as promised, 9 months from start to finish On budget - no surprises at all. Excellent warranty - they stand behind their work. Details: My wife and I had been in the same 1940s home for almost 10 years, but now with kids we were out of space! Love our neighborhood and didn't want to move, so we decided to do a renovation/addition. I researched on Houzz and yelp extensively. I did phone interviews with 7 or 8 firms, then in person interviews with 3 ( all of them are well reviewed here on Houzz and Yelp). My wife and I overwhelmingly preferred Stephen at FM Design Build. He is an architect first, and listened carefully and was very forthcoming and reassuring about the process of architectural drawings, permits, and construction. Met with Stephen in May 2019 on architectural drawings. This was a great back and forth process with about 9 total design iterations. This was a design and engineering contract prior to a construction contract. at the end of this process, we had full specs for the house as it was to be built. Next Stephen bid out the project now as a GC. While this was fully intended to be a design build project, the contract for the build is completely separate from the contract for the design. He bid it and the price was in line with our ongoing discussion during the design piece. Importantly, the price was very close to what the other two firms that we met with in person had estimated as well. FM Design Build and these other firms are similarly priced. Construction started in June 2020. Since it was a full gut remodel with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, kitchen, bathrooms, everything, we had to move out. Because of this, the timeframe was critical for us. We agreed that we would be able to move back in March of 2021. FM Design stuck to that timeframe. For residential construction, I believe FM Design build and Stephen are an anomaly. One last thing - six months after the project was completed, I had one little leak on a fixture. I texted Stephen about it the late evening of December 22nd. He called me right away, asked a couple of questions. One of his main guys Josue (who is awesome too btw) came out on Christmas Eve and fixed it. I have faith that they stand behind their work and I fully recommend them. Thomas”

“This review is way over due, but even with the years that have past we cannot forget about Chris and the beautiful house he designed for us. Chris has a brilliant eye and vision once you explain to him what you are hoping for. We told Chris an overall idea of what we envisioned our house to be and within a week he had a near perfect design of our home. The tweaks we wanted were very minor and given back to Chris and he was right back to us with exactly what we expected. If you are looking for a mastermind to complete your dream home, Chris is your future architect.”

“Where to begin? Every phase of my project was excellent! I guess I can start at the beginning but leaving the best for last: First, Alex came by to measure the counter top area in the kitchen. High tech stuff and the quartz top fit perfectly when installed! They installed my sink, faucet, disposal, and dishwasher. Then, Vlad painted the entire inside of the house with 7 colors used throughout the house! Perfect trim work! Next, Merab and Vlad put up the oak window trim and did perfect sealing work around the wall and trim. The downstairs bathroom needed ceiling work done and Vlad more than met the challenge. Merab and Vlad cut the interior and exterior oak doors, stained them, and were put up in the new door frames. A hall fan was adjusted to the correct spacing. Special cuts of wood were made and stained throughout the house. The upstairs bathroom was done so beautifully with new mirror, toilet, shower doors and floor tile. Vlad did most of the work of this project and you would be lucky to have him working on your house project. Viktar the foreman is the one who brought all of these wonderful craft persons together to create the magic. Anastasiya is the project manager from heaven. Her attention to detail is extraordinary and was vital to the success of this project. Finally, none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for Rob Rathbun, the Senior Design Consultant of America’s Dream Home Works. It was because of him that this project happened at all. He listened carefully to what I wanted to do room by room. Then he would tell me what would and what wouldn’t work within the budget or structurally. Rob is a godsend! He is the perfect first representative to meet from this wonderful, professional, company. Top notch artists of their crafts, and the paper side of the company is right there with them. I cannot say enough about all the people at ADHW. Alex, Vlad, Merab, Viktar, Anastasiya, and of course, Rob! You won’t be disappointed!
