“We first worked with Builders Team in 2021 when they undertook a loft extension on our large semi-detached Victoria house (hip to gable with rear dormer). They completed all the shell work, plumbing and electrics to a very good standard (we used our contractors for all plastering and finishing work) and the builders were consistently polite and professional. The project was managed by Mindis, who I enjoyed working with – many of the builders didn’t speak English so Mindis was integral to the project running smoothly. The craftsmanship was also impressive — they had to replace one of our chimney due to a precarious lean and they did so carefully matching the brickwork to the original. Because the loft extension went well, we invited Builders Team back in 2023 to complete a ground floor extension along with some structural work to the rest of the property. The extension work was quite substantial and involved knocking down the existing side return and rear extension, digging new foundations and steel work and laying a concrete slab with wet underfloor heating. All the structural works were carried out to a very high standard, and we were extremely satisfied with the workmanship, including all the facing brick work and limestone landscaping in the garden. Builders Team continued to work on different parts of the house as we slowly renovated over the following years. As with any major project, a few unexpected issues arose along the way (our architects plans were not overly detailed which didn’t help). However, Builders Team were excellent at accommodating changes and worked closely with us to overcome obstacles. Even when things became a little fraught, Mindis remained polite, professional, and collaborative throughout. Our plasterers commented on how neat the plaster boarding work was throughout the project. We lived in the property during all the building work, and the builders were very courteous, working around our family’s needs with minimal disruption. Overall, Builders Team delivered high-quality work on both projects, with great project management from Mindis and a team of builders who were polite, reliable, and skilled. We would not hesitate to recommend them and will certainly consider them for future projects.”
