“There are seemingly a million decisions to be made on a remodel project and I very much appreciated and encouraged Jason’s input during the process. He was able to provide useful and insightful suggestions but at the same time was respectful of my ultimate preferences and decisions. Another reason to go with Castle Construction over other contractors is the fact that he has his own showroom where you can meet to go over your plans, and see real-life examples of cabinetry, countertops and hardware…not just pictures on Houzz or similar websites. Lastly, I’d like to say a word about the team of capable people he has assembled to complete the work. He has three full time employees who are professional, conscientious and personable. I enjoyed having them in my house every day during the process. Similarly, the subcontractors that Jason used to complete the countertop installation, tile, plumbing and painting were all topnotch. I had heard so many horror stories of people leaving messes, not showing up or doing less than par work that I was convinced that this was going to happen to me but I am happy to report that none of this was the case with my job. From start to finish I was happy and satisfied with both the workers and the work they performed. If I had any advice to those starting this process it would be this, use Jason from the very beginning. Use his architect, let him help with the design work and let him assist in picking out the cabinetry, hardware and countertops from his showroom. I wasted many months before getting started by pulling in others to do what Jason can coordinate very easily. Secondly, do your very best to foresee any and all additions to the project from the beginning. There are many things that we added during the process that we had initially not thought about (nor budgeted for) until we began the project. One example was the decision to relocate the plumbing through the ceiling instead of leaving it in the slab. We are happy with our decision to do this since the room was opened up and it made sense in terms of timing but it was not something we had originally thought to do when we started out. Lastly, until the COVid/supply chain issues are resolved if you are remodeling a kitchen I would recommend that you order your appliances right away. I ordered mine on 2.7.21 and as of this writing (11.28.21) I am still waiting for my refrigerator. Thanks to Jason and the whole Castle Construction crew for a job well done.”
