Nehemiah Construction LLC

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJune 24, 2026
“After losing my father, I inherited his home in Washington DC, which needed significant renovations including the bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedrooms, exterior, and both interior and exterior light fixtures. With mortgage payments looming, I needed the work done quickly so I could get the property rented out as soon as possible. Nehemiah Construction delivered beyond my expectations. From the start, I was upfront about my timeline, and they respected that completely. In less than a month, every single project was completed done right, done beautifully, and done with care. The craftsmanship speaks for itself. The renovated bathroom, kitchen, and living areas look absolutely amazing, and the attention to detail throughout the entire home is something I'm genuinely proud of. What truly set Nehemiah Construction apart was how they treated me as a customer. The communication was clear, the professionalism was consistent, and I never once felt like just another job on their list. During what was already an emotionally difficult time, that level of service meant more than I can express. If you're looking for a contractor who combines speed, quality, and outstanding customer service, this is definitely a winner. I give Nehemiah Construction a 5 out of 5 without any hesitation and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!”
PACE Design & Construction

“I hired PACE Construction after chatting with a few other design/build firms. My initial concerns were a sinking floor (yikes!) but I knew that at the very least that the entire kitchen in my tiny, 115 year old row home needed to be renovated. The reason that I went with PACE was that they offered options from the very beginning. This ranged from selling the home as the "repair" to the floor was likely to be costly, to exploration to determine the exact cause of the sinking floor. After meeting with them several times and a small deposit to dig through the floor to see what was going on, we decided to renovate the entire first floor and the upstairs bath. By this time they had won my trust seeing as how Brad was not pushy on any one topic and continued to give me advice and suggestions, rather than a sales pitch. Their other hyper-local work and references helped too We've been in the house for 10 years and plan to stay for at least another 15, so a larger project addressing what seemed like endless issues made sense to us, especially with the trust that was built up along the way. Early on I met Khyree and Terris, two of the PACE professionals who were involved in the project from the demo, all the way until making sure the painters did the right touch ups. It was very reassuring chatting with them on a regular basis and asking them questions. They were more than willing to drop what they were doing whenever I popped in (which was often) to make sure I was good with everything going on. I was also regularly in contact with the project manager, Seth, who was quick to respond to emails, texts and phone calls. We went all in for this project and gutted the first floor. We replaced every major appliance, removed our radiators and installed central heating/cooling, and replaced our drafty and stuck windows. We got rid of our gas line and installed an electric water heater. Our electrical panel was upgraded and PACE also coordinated a solar panel install. Our 1.5 bathrooms were completely redone, as well as our kitchen cabinets and counters. We also added some simpler features that we've wanted like hose bibs in the front and rear of the house, a 240v outlet in the driveway, and also decided to repaint the front of the house. As we neared completion and saw that it was going to be on time, PACE helped design a shelf system to attach to our brick walls in our downstairs living room. They sealed the brick and brought in some reclaimed wooden joists for the shelves. The additional cost for this additional mini project was unbeatable and was really a great way to finish the project. The layout of the first floor has been changed quite a bit, and now I have more room, more light, and still plenty of cabinet space. I am so happy with the project. Now that it is over, I will be employing PACE to take care of a few more minor things, like door and lock repair, and adding on a storm door to the front of the house.”

“AWDB had an organized, methodical time line and process. This company did an amazing job of protecting my floors and finishes. They were impeccable with their caulking and plastering. My painted walls were so smooth, I could almost see my reflection. Mike showed up at the crack of dawn and perfected any imperfections. Shannon designed the most efficient kitchen in which I've ever cooked. The team would notice things before we did.. “no, that marble seal in your kitchen isn’t perfect enough, do it again.” Anthony Wilder DELIVERED ON TIME with IMPECCABLE cleanliness. After the professional cleaners came in, Anthony's wife and designers and staff cleaned again. With Q-Tips in corners. Not a speck of dust to be found anywhere. The team handed me an organized bible of my home, its finishes and its warranties in a three ring binder sectioned off by room. I sadly had to sell that home, and the new owner was flabbergasted and beyond appreciative on that binder. Just such a wonderful added touch. I cannot recommend this company more. I had ZERO renovation nightmares with them. They live up to their reputation.”
