I hired AppWood to replace and build a stronger door frame, sidelight frame, transom frame for a very heavy custom made solid Oak Dutch door. The door was so heavy that it had pulled the frame away from the house enough to keep the door from closing properly. The Oak for the door was harvested from our property; so we wanted to keep the door. The door had been made by another custom door manufacturer 5-6 years ago. AppWood’s finished product could not have been better; the quality of installation was perfect; every person on their staff that I met was obviously highly qualified, professional and friendly. Will I recommend AppWood to others? Yes, absolutely!

AppWood Doors do high-quality work! I ordered custom doors from them for my whole house--25 doors in all, including a barn door. I have a historic house with non-standard door frames. AppWood Doors worked with my contractor to get the measurements for each and every door frame and custom built each door to fit the non-standard frame. Solid, well-constructed doors. My contractor said they were the best doors he'd ever seen. They also did a great job crating the doors so that they all arrived in pristine condition. I would highly recommend them!

They sent project status photos, even a picture of the shipping container and it was on time and on budget! Clients loving it!

I ordered three sets of exterior doors for my new home in VT, a main entry with sidelights and two sets of custom carriage doors, which are all superbly constructed from plans designed by AppWood Doors and so gorgeous that they are the highlight of the exterior of my home. My local builder was extremely impressed with the quality, and the service during the planning/construction period was exceptional. I experienced AppWood Doors to be an extremely high quality and professional company. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat!

The people at AppWood are responsive, attentive, professional, thorough and diligent.... a lot of praise, yes, but earned. Perhaps the single largest difference between AppWood and other manuf.'s I deal with is that AppWood does things the right way - they think about it before they build something and always engineer into their constructive methods items the end user will never know are done internally, yet such innovative manufacturing methods are so important for long life of the product ( preventing warp, delam, etc. ). AppWood also excels at new and challenging ideas and designs - I will throw something different at them and they rise to the occasion and deliver an amazing product. I have never been disappointed by AppWood. As Tony The Tiger says..... "they're great" !

As part of a custom house build, AppWood Doors designed, built and shipped our front entry door. This design process was done entirely via phone calls and emails and was one of the smoothest and most satisfying processes we had in building our house. We went through several design iterations based on a few of their previous designs, including color matching, panels, metal accents, and hardware. The team at AppWood was responsive and flexible in their design and we ended up with a beautiful front entry door, better than we initially hoped for, that was both on-time and on-budget. They were also patient with naive questions from someone not familiar with the door building process and helpful in educating me along the way. Communication throughout the process was great and we were always aware of what the next steps in the timeline. They sent photo updates of the construction process and expectations were consistently met or exceeded at every stage. AppWood was a breath of fresh air relative to the rest of our building project. I could not recommend AppWood highly enough to someone looking for a stunning door that has worked flawlessly in the four months we've lived in the house.

We hired AppWood through our Builder to design a door like the one shown. After the door had been on the job for 3 months it cracked completely through. AppWood contended that it was due to field finishing vs their factory finish. They replaced the door with a factory custom finish and the second door cracked within 2-3 months of installation. AppWood committed in writing to repair or replace the door. It took approximately a year but App wood sucesefully re-engineered the door and replaced it with a new design that withstands the low humidity of Colorado. The new door has been in place for approximately 4 months and is performing as designed. AppWood honored their committment.

One of the most professional buying experiences I've had. From start to finish, everyone at Appwood kept us well informed about the status of our doors and were even extremely helpful and cooperative when we needed some last minute changes. Would highly recommend.
