We have two comfortable, helpful showrooms, one in Burlingame and the largest in the area in Walnut Creek. Our newly remodeled Walnut Creek location boasts more than 250 displays representing 45 name brands including windows, doors and accessories. We also host events and seminars for building industry professionals and home owners, and encourage you to sign up on our web site to receive notices and invitations. Showrooms are open Monday through Saturday. Closed most holidays. Our lumber and home improvement centers are located in Concord and Pinole. We receive great customer service at Dolan's from Robert and Jeff! We are a contracting firm that has done business with Dolan's for years. We have ordered siding, windows, sliding doors, deck and fencing materials from them. Their products are great quality. If you need to exchange something, they will work with you to make sure that the customer is satisfied.

It is the worst door company ever to work with. Our front door was delivered one month delayed and the custom door was not manufactured in the right angle, so the full set had unbalanced gaps. During the delivery, they dropped the door and damaged at a corner. The installation ($600 extra charge) was terrible and they used a white plastic as a shim to correct the defects of the door and it made horrible look. Their customer service department is not responsive and didn't keep their words to work for the defects with the manufacturer, Therma-Tru door. We totally regret that we didn't order from other stores. I wish I can give zero star for this review.

It is unfortunate that after a year we are at this point, Mr and Mrs. Lee were notified in writing that the condition of the walls as built by their contractor, specifically in the area that would impact the installation of the door were inadequate at best. The floor was 1/2" out of level, adjoining walls were 3/4" out of square and the wall that the entry unit was installed in was 1 1/2" out of plumb.

The doors and Sidelights used for this entry door were manufactured to industry standard tolerance. The 1/16" difference in the width top to bottom are within industry standards.

We were asked to correct the installation of the entry door that was installed by their contractor. We told them what needed to be corrected before we could reinstall the entry unit. The day we showed up to install, none of the necessary corrections had been made. The homeowners wished us to install the unit regardless of the deficiencies. The installation while plumb, Level and Square, enhanced the deficiencies in the framing and sub-floor which made it difficult to conceal.

Per our job-site meeting held on 3/16/16 the homeowner indicated that the damage on the door was done by their contractor during the original installation.

In hindsight, we should have declined to do the install due to the conditions. We offer to refund Mr & Mrs Lee the $500.00 they paid us.
