After doing a partial remodel to our kitchen, we were left with an open space that was calling for an island. We knew we wanted something unique and that would fit the space perfectly. After seeing many other pieces made by GD, we knew they were the ones that could fill this space. I worked with GD to design an island and they delivered a perfect unique island. GD is great to work with for they are professional, creative, fun, artistic, and build pieces of perfection. They listened to every detail I was looking for, designed and built with the highest quality an island that met every one of our needs and wants. I hope to feel my home with more creations from GD.

Early in the design process of a new home I knew I wanted to bring in a statement piece to compensate for the lack of character/nostalgia I was concerned new construction would have. I turned to Grain Designs having first admired their work a few Junk Market's back. The statement piece became a stunning fireplace mantel, followed by a custom 8 ft dining table with a bench for seating and a matching bench at counter height for additional seating at the kitchen island. I was gifted a beautiful wine rack also. Grain Designs had the forethought to marry my vision of design with the practicality of function, durability, and comfort. This is a smooth design process which I was able to do by an exchange over email. These 5 pieces are together in an open concept room so color and consistency between them was important to me. Nothing was delivered until the team was fully confident they had built a quality product. The craftsmanship of each is superb. Their work has become a staple in my new home. The table & benches are used daily and wine has a short shelf life here so the wine rack is certainly a functional piece too. Guests are drawn to running their hand along the wood and asking where it is from. I joke I need to keep business cards on my mantel for these guys. Bottom line, Grain Designs is an exemplary example of Fargo's artistry and why I keep my business local whenever possible.

LOVE LOVE LOVE.... first saw their work at Junk Bonanza.. was researching a dining room table. Nothing fit. Nothing felt right. A designer wanted to order me one that was $6-7,000.00 that just didn't feel like me. Then I saw Grain Design and thought, I can't afford that, that will take too long, that must be hard to do... NO!!! It was a dream. It was perfect! The guys were great to work with. I told them the space I had to fit, that I wanted a wide table that seated 2 across and 3 on the sides for a total of 10. My space was weird so I needed a weird sized table! I saw a stain on their site that I loved, another builder told me it was too hard to do, but Grain Design said, "no problem!". I saw a pedestal base and a steel strip that looked awesome on their site and asked to incorporate that... I received detailed drawings back, exact measurements. We went back and forth. They designed it, sent a picture and then I waited anxiously for delivery. IN LOVE. I love it. Husband loves it. Family loves it. All friends and visitors love it. Its an amazing piece and I can't believe it took me this long to realize that having something custom and perfect for YOU could be so easy and so reasonably priced! Worth every penny and then some!!!

My custom lake sign showed up earlier than expected and the craftsmanship was outstanding. The added bonus was getting the steel cut out as a second sign to hang in our guest cabin. Thanks!

Years ago I fell in love with the canvas cow print when I saw Grain Designs at a craft sale/event in Fargo. Recently I decided that I (finally!) needed to have it and I am so happy with my purchase. As soon as I placed the order online I emailed them with a couple questions and Blain responded immediately. The print arrived quickly and in perfect condition - it is just beautiful! These guys are super professional and helpful and I look forward to buying from them again in the future.

We hired Grain Designs back in March of 2015 to build 2 office desks, a reception desk and a conference room table for our new office. To say that we were pleased with the outcome of the work is an understatement! Grain Designs does beautiful high quality work, and their customer service matches their product. Blaine and Grant are a pleasure to work with. We have since hired them to complete 3 more office desks and are currently working on design ideas for our office expansion. I found the Grain Design guys in a local magazine while we were building our new lake home. I was looking to buy reclaimed furniture to go with our rustic/modern design. The Grain Designs team met me out at the construction site and the designed a dining room table for me, a mantle, a barn door, and a wall of reclaimed wood for our powder room. These young men were professional, courteous and excited about the project. We met a couple more times to pick out wood and go over the design. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results! The furniture and accents conform perfectly to our lake home and add interest. I love that each piece is branded with their own label and comes with a story. I've since commissioned them to build a coffee table, side tables and an entry bench. The furniture is so well made that I told them I'm spoiled now, I can't shop at furniture stores to find this quality. I would highly recommend Grain designs to anyone looking for unique furniture.

I recently worked with Grant at Grain Designs on a custom 10' pub height table for my family room. I can't say enough good things about how easy they were to work with on the idea. Communication was prompt, ideas were exchanged and the end result is a table that everyone oohs and aahs over the first time they see it. Absolutely beautiful!!
