While JonDorr’s portals share the same basic purpose that all doors do, ours go far beyond simple functionality serving as aesthetic showpieces that add unique artistry and visual appeal to any internal space be it residential or commercial. Our barn door style portals are hand-crafted using a variety of old-school construction techniques. Tongue and groove, stile and rail and mortise and tenon joinery, wood and metal inlay, Japanese charring methods, lattice work and a wide variety of painting techniques are used in creating our doors’ distinctive styles and ensuring their longevity.
