For some unknown reason, that ceiling required priming. It was not evident until after the paint had dried completely at which point the masking had already been removed, which is our standard practice. None of the other ceilings needed priming. There was nothing we could have done different to prevent this from happening. To correct the issue, we had no choice but to re mask, prime the ceiling and then repaint it. We don't figure priming into our process because 90% of the time it isn't required and the price wouldn't be competitive with similar bids. Had there been evidence that priming would be necessary, we would have included it in our proposal.
For all of that additional work, you were charged (and you agreed in advance to pay) $125.00 to cover the cost of the labor and materials to PRIME the ceiling. We paid for the masking and paint labor and materials. Actually, the $125 barely covered the COST of the ceiling priming. I believe that price was more than fair for what needed to be done.
This is the first time any broken light bulbs of nicks in paint has been mentioned. We would have been more than happy to resolve these issues had they been brought to our attention.
We have hundreds of satisfied customers out there and reviews like this are few and far between. Again, I'm sorry you are unhappy with the situation, but I believe you were treated very fairly.
