The reviewer (Ruggero S.) did contact our company to consult on door and window aspect of their remodel. After meeting with him and his wife for a complimentary in home consultation, we provided them with a detailed quote and work proposal including lead times on product delivery. Typical lead times are 3-6 weeks for most items. If something is custom, lead times are extended to 8-12 weeks.
While working for Mr. S, we were approached by his neighbor as per normal wondering what we were doing and such. People are very curious and want to know how we are improving people’s homes. He mentioned that we must be very good because he keeps having us come back for more work and is extremely particular about everything.
All work performed by Samson Door & Window meets or exceeds industry standards.
1) Mr. S. gave us replacement hardware that he provided without any instructions. We invested several hours installing the replacement hardware that was different from the existing. The handles were the same but the internal parts were different.
2) One new door is not installed level and plumb. Doors are tricky to do right. None are perfect. They move over time due to weather changes.
3) Another door has a deeply scratched sill cap. We have replacement parts on hand and ready.
4) Stucco patch. We can fog coat with color to feather in stucco finish.
Mr. S. made numerous changes throughout the different phases of work. We have 104 emails back and forth starting with February 23, 2016 and has admitted to being very picky.
We made a mistake with a cleaning product to clean the concrete steps but have been researching for the perfect solution to get it done and have found it. Unfortunately, with all the rainy weather, we had to wait for it to dry up before we can return to clean off the steps.
We have a signed contract that Mr. S. wants to cancel because he made a mistake while reviewing the contract even after we asked him to verify that everything was the way he wanted it. He gave us a verbal confirmation, email confirmation and signed the contract. One item he signed for cost us $500. Mr. S himself was unable to keep up with all the changes he requested and signed for the wrong item. We can fix the above items for Mr. S. We just need to schedule it as his approval.
