Stellar!!!! I was delighted with the entire process from getting the estimate to the final installation. Oh Yeah! They actually also finished early which is SO rare in the world of general contracting. I was also very happy with the crew of guys they sent out. They were well spoken, considerate of our property, and walked us through the entire process. The finish work they did on the exterior of the home is killer. You can't even tell that work was done on the house except for the extremely rare Gothic window that they found for us at a fair price. All I can say is think of a company with an OLD school value system meets ability to do amazing current work. The words that come to mind for me are Honest, Professional, and Reliable. I wish that I would have had the pleasure of knowing Taft years ago.

Taft was absolutely on top of things and his guys showed up EARLY (day of), AHEAD of SCHEDULE and were real craftsmen, at a very reasonable price. They installed an Iron Envy door (avail also on houzz). I'm a tough grader but give these guys an A.

Taft had his crew over to our house with Jose the crew leader. Lots of experience! And very fast. Definitely impressive. Doors are not easy to install and they made it look easy. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Taft is very personable, professional and reliable. His crew was extremely professional and courteous. They went above and beyond, checking and fixing previously installed windows in my mother's home that were not even part of the quote. They were very respectful of my mother and her property. They notified me when they would be there. When finished, they cleaned up all signs of work being done. The quality of the windows are top knotch! I would highly recommend Samson Door and Window to all!!

He brought an extensive number of catalogs and we were able to chose from hundreds of different styles. Andrew and his manager Taft were very courteous and respectful of our needs and budget. I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel and I feel grateful when I find excellent, dependable, reliable vendors. Samson Door and Window is at the top of my list. I needed a new kitchen window installed which would require stucco work. Another window company, which didn't have this expertise, recommended Samson. Not only were Andrew and Taft extremely helpful, each coming to my house on two different occasions, answering many e-mails and patiently writing more than one estimate and sending me cad drawings for what was a difficult window decision--but their crew, Jose and Carlos, were also excellent in the execution. The stucco work is flawless and done according to code. Jose did a beautiful install of the window itself. I just found this company as a whole and Andrew and Taft, especially, wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them, not only on this website, but to all my neighbors in our HOA, as well.

Taft and his team are awesome and very professional. They have installed 2 bi-fold doors for us and they look amazing. Taft talked us into a style that we weren't thinking of, but they look great. He has a great eye for design. Everyone on the team is professional and not satisfied until the job is done and done the right away. They really know what they are doing as we have used multiple contractors and you don't always get that. Samsun came recommended and I will be recommending them as well.

March 2017 Samson came highly recommended by our former neighbor who had an amazing gorgeous bifold door installed in their home. We moved into our home in late January of this year and unexpectedly realized all the windows in the home were extremely old and non efficient at all. Unfortunately we had a very tight timeline to get this project done. We contacted Taft and Andrew and they promptly scheduled an appointment with us within a few days. These guys know their stuff and after my pie-in-the-sky idea about blowing out a whole wall to open it up for my amazing back yard view, they came up with the perfect option to give me exactly what I wanted. These guys were given a budget and worked their magic to get us everything we wanted and them some. We were up against a major time crunch but the whole job took less than 5 days.....start to finish. We had two walls blown out with two sliders installed and another one replaced along with all the other windows in the house.....21 all in all, I believe. I can't tell you how much time, care and effort these guys put into this job. Above and Beyond is an understatement. Professional, on-time, worked late if needed, took extra precautions to protect my furnishings and were conscious and caring of my nosey pups who I am sure were in their way. ;) Samson exceeded all my expectations and I cannot say enough about Taft and Andrew and their whole team!!!! Truly a top notch Company with a highly skilled workforce who know how to get the job done on time and with the best craftsmanship too!! I would recommend Samson Door and Window to anyone looking for superior service, quality work and an honest, no nonsense kind of team. The even helped me out after the fact with paint that I couldn't get done. Taft literally sent a few of his guys to my house within 24 hours to take care of me after my job was already completed. I cannot thank them all enough for their outstanding service!!! I wish there were more companies that take pride in their jobs the way Samson Door and Window does. Phenomenal Customer Service!!!!! Hire them!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

In May 2016, I initially gave Samson Door & Window a glowing 5-star rating after completing Phase 1. However, after 8 months, they have dropped to a 2-Star. Sadly, the crew is capable of good work, but the owner has decided to sacrifice quality for quantity, by overbooking the crew. They packed up and left before completing my Phase 3 and 4 projects, with promises of coming back soon.

Informing our prospective clients and making sound recommendations on the process of altering the design of their existing doors and windows can be one of the most challenging aspects of our job. A good door and window company provides thoughtful, professional guidance to help ensure the clients project is completed within budget, in a safe and reasonable time frame. From the beginning, we strive for excellence on each project we take on as well as under-promise and over deliver.
The reviewer (Ruggero S.) did contact our company to consult on door and window aspect of their remodel. After meeting with him and his wife for a complimentary in home consultation, we provided them with a detailed quote and work proposal including lead times on product delivery. Typical lead times are 3-6 weeks for most items. If something is custom, lead times are extended to 8-12 weeks.
While working for Mr. S, we were approached by his neighbor as per normal wondering what we were doing and such. People are very curious and want to know how we are improving people’s homes. He mentioned that we must be very good because he keeps having us come back for more work and is extremely particular about everything.

All work performed by Samson Door & Window meets or exceeds industry standards.

1) Mr. S. gave us replacement hardware that he provided without any instructions. We invested several hours installing the replacement hardware that was different from the existing. The handles were the same but the internal parts were different.
2) One new door is not installed level and plumb. Doors are tricky to do right. None are perfect. They move over time due to weather changes.
3) Another door has a deeply scratched sill cap. We have replacement parts on hand and ready.
4) Stucco patch. We can fog coat with color to feather in stucco finish.

Mr. S. made numerous changes throughout the different phases of work. We have 104 emails back and forth starting with February 23, 2016 and has admitted to being very picky.
We made a mistake with a cleaning product to clean the concrete steps but have been researching for the perfect solution to get it done and have found it. Unfortunately, with all the rainy weather, we had to wait for it to dry up before we can return to clean off the steps.

We have a signed contract that Mr. S. wants to cancel because he made a mistake while reviewing the contract even after we asked him to verify that everything was the way he wanted it. He gave us a verbal confirmation, email confirmation and signed the contract. One item he signed for cost us $500. Mr. S himself was unable to keep up with all the changes he requested and signed for the wrong item. We can fix the above items for Mr. S. We just need to schedule it as his approval.
The main directives of our company are to provide excellent service, the highest quality products and sound recommendations that respect our client’s investment. Through our detailed proposals, we ensure that our clients are well informed form start to finish, including the scope of work to be completed and the number of days we anticipate are required to complete the work. We provide this so that our clients can make an informed decision about selecting our company for their door and window needs. We have invested years developing our craft and techniques that offer our clients convenience, clear communication, knowledge and above all, quality products and installations. We strive for excellence in customer service and workmanship to exceed our clients expectations. We regret that we could not accommodate Mr. S's requested timeline and wish them the very best of luck on their remodel.

July 2016 Having grown up working for a family-owned contracting business back east, I found that Samson Door & Window is a company with the care and diligence of a small town business, while embodying world-class craftsmanship. I really appreciate hard workers, who are very conscientious of quality and ensure the work is completed with care. I saw nothing less with Samson Door & Window. Taft provided new ideas that still fit within our budget. Other contractors bids at the same cost did not think through the big picture, considering ideas where both my husband and I wanted to evolve the design of our home. He really thought through recommendations to ensure we would enjoy our new windows and doors for years to come. He proposed practical solutions within our budget, but also ensured final design and look was on point for our needs and lifestyle. The mark of a fantastic contractor is not only completing work on time and within budget, but how challenges are met and managed. We have a 1960s home, so unexpected surprises were discovered during the work. Samson Door & Window rose the challenge and was very fair-minded while working through these unplanned hurdles. Not only was it very clear how our budget was impacted, but the team made a stressful situation less so by being fair and understanding with us - both cost-wise and reassuring us as customers throughout the project. After our project was done, we were extremely happy and we are already planning our next project with Samson Door & Window. Look for more updates from us for this company, since Taft and his team are the only ones who will work on our house, repairing and restoring the rest of our house with new doors and windows. ### Update Nov 2016 The Samson Door and Window team is back again, continuing to restore our house from a 1960s headache into a beautifully updated mid-century modern little gem. They are truly our Heroes, since there were health concerns regarding the state of existing improperly installed windows and doors. Taft and his team swooped in, demolished and rebuilt aggressively without issue; consistently on time and hard working. They are a talk of the town; the neighbors are impressed and happy to see such great improvements in the neighborhood with the work on our house. The Samson Door and Window team is always courteous and kind with all our questions. They have made an extremely stressful situation into a great opportunity to improve our home, with the utter peace of mind that it is done correctly and safely, along with being absolutely stunning! My husband and I highly recommend Samson Door and Window! Including some pictures to show the current improvements to our home. This is the second of three phases to completely restore/rebuild our house with new windows and doors. Lath is done on the front and side of house, stucco work will be started once the rest of the garage and other sides of the house are completed, along with finish paint, etc. Really look forward to a brand new house! Update April 2018 I am so late in posting our final pictures! We have been enjoying our amazing redone house! The Samson Door and Window team completed a phenomenal project, a complete overhaul of our house! There is a huge difference, before and after this project was completed (check out the side by side comparison in the first posted picture). We are so happy and highly recommend Samson Door and Window!

Awesome service start to finish, promptly returned my call, set up an appointment that worked for me. The estimation process was great, we priced out a couple options, they gave great recommendations for design, spoke about energy efficiency and other areas I was interested in. I had out a competing company for an estimate, they were much less thorough, did not give good design recommendations, and their price was higher with a larger turnaround time for the project. The installation process was great, worked with our schedule, and cleaned up afterwards better than before they started. We had 8 windows replaced and a new front door installed and stained. This is now my first and last choice for doors and windows and I would recommend them to anyone looking for doors and / or windows.
