The Door Guys

The Door Guys recently installed two doors for us - a front entry door with built in sidelights and a back door. They were knowledgeable, efficient and did a fantastic job. Both doors look great! Highly recommend them :)

I Called to have a door reinstalled after my husband allowed a friend to install it and did it incorrectly. The were able to come and do it all on the same day as I called. The installer was nice, respectful and cleaned up after himself. I am very happy with job done and would definitely recommend them to others.

I was looking for someone to put in doors in two large openings in our home that we turned into my office. Looking around, it was really hard to find what we were looking for because the height and width of the spaces were not standard. Enter Ryon with The Door Guys. First, I will say he was SO patient with me. I had so many different ideas and he helped me figure out what would work best. Then he searched and searched to find the right vendors. When I almost died at the price he continued to search until we found the doors here. The total cost of the project was about $5000. He was on time and professional while he was here installing with his assistant. He kept me posted on what was going on and what we could expect from the project. We are having some problems with the doors staying open and closed because of the slope in our ceilings (not his fault, but the builders) but my husband is pretty handy and is working on remedying that. We still have to paint, remove the protective tape and we will be adding decorative trim as well, if I remember I will post a totally finished project picture. Thanks again Ryon, this has been a great experience.

We hired the The Door Guys based on the fact that they claim to do one thing well --- Install doors. Last year we replaced the entry door to our garage. We bought a slab door at Home Depot and paid The Door Guys $200 to install it . The man who did the work trimmed a little off the side of the door (not needed) and then some off of the bottom. In doing so, he gouged up the side and cut the bottom totally unevenly. We were not happy with the work and had Ryon, the owner, come and look at it. He agreed the door was poorly installed and also pointed out that the hinges had not been applied correctly. To his credit, he bought us a new door from Home Depot and installed it himself. It seemed to be done correctly, but only 3 to 4 weeks later the door started dragging. We called Ryon and wanted him to come take a look and remedy the situation. He told us he does not warranty installation of doors unless they are prehung. One would think he might at least want to come see the door since he was the one who installed it, but apparently not. We were shocked and extremely disappointed. If they hang doors so well, why don't they warranty ALL their work? Seems they are only confident in their expertise when they install prehung doors. And by the way, they WILL try to convince you that you need to buy prehung whether you do or not. (We had a number of installers agree that we did NOT need a prehung unit). Had we known they would not stand behind their installation of a slab door, we would not have used them. We have learned our lesson. Always ask about a work warranty before you hire someone. I will say again, if they are truly experts at this one thing, they should stand behind their work --- and if something isn't right (prehung or not), they should be willing to remedy it free of charge. Now we are going to have to pay someone to fix The Door Guys' problem.
