Unfortunately our new asphalt driveway became uneven & started to crack within the 1st year of installation. As a result, we avoid parking our cars on the driveway at all costs, opting to use the street in hopes to prolong the need for a new driveway. 3yrs later, cracks and waviness continue to grow – Total Paving, more like Total Waste Of Money (do business elsewhere).

EXCELLENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT! My 60 foot, right angle curved front walk (approx 25 years old) was buckled due to tree roots that had pushed multiple slabs upward. Roots had also caused the walk to detach from the base of the concrete porch stairs. The crew removed all the old sidewalk, then worked DILIGENTLY to remove and cut back all the offending tree roots, some of which had grown to 6" in diameter or more. They installed a bank-run gravel base and allowed it to sit for a couple days. After the Memorial Day holiday, concrete was poured and finished in one day. They returned the following to day to remove all the forms which included some 90 degree curves, then backfilled all the forms areas with several cubic feet of topsoil that they brought in a trailer. The crews of 3 or 4 men each day worked continuously -- no loafing. And they responded to each my questions and concerns (especially about tree roots) without any nasty attitude. I could not be happier with the work - truly a professional job. I highly recommend Total Paving in Gurnee.

Did not lay driveway that was measured. Stole the price of +600 sq feet of asphalt by not giving me what I paid for. Made it impossible to use my parking area by creating a height difference between it and my drive. Did not provide top coat, asphalt has uncrushed stones in the mix. Did not seal coat drive as promised the next season. Does not deliver on promises. Not truthful. Unreliable.

Honestly, they were wonderful! Our paving project was finished sooner than expected and looks fantastic. It has upgraded our home and looks amazing. The team was professional, nice and left the area spotless. Nothing for me to clean up. This is the only company we will call for our future paving projects. Thank you!

My brand new driveway is a collection of puddles. The thought of going through this winter when they all freeze over is frightening. I wish I waited to pay them until after it rained. This cannot be fixed apparently. I'm going to have my attorney request a refund. I don't know what else to do.

Total Paving gave me a very good price to tear out and replace my cement driveway. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. It was done while I was out of town. My neighbors sent me pictures and said they did everything that was on the estimate.I can't wait to get back home to see it. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Hired them to repave the driveway and install a paver walk. A year later it all still looks fantastic. We did have one area where the pavers started dipping, the company came out the next week and fixed it. All their staff I worked with were great.

I had hired a different contractor to replace the sidewalks, asphalt driveway, and two brick retaining walls at my home. After they came and ripped everything out, the owner told me that his company representative mis-quoted the job and that he would not be finishing it and he walked off the job.
