We had a great experience working with Chris. He was always available to answer questions or address concerns. Chris was a very “hands-on” builder and we appreciated always dealing with the person in charge as opposed to a construction manager. Chris was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. By the end of our project, we considered Chris to be a friend. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for a future project.

Steve was great to work with. He came up with a design for a music studio addition that matched perfectly with our 100+ year-old house, making it look as it it had been part of the original build! He was thorough, resourceful, and responsive.

I can not express to you how wonderful the team of architects were with this firm. We recently completed a large add on to our home that was originally built in 1932. Bruce Bockus and Steven Bothell were an absolute pleasure to work with. They listened well to what we wanted and stayed very true to the form and style of our home while adding some very creative and interesting touches to the architecture of it. Their team was timely, diligent, creative and fun to work with. I really would not settle for any other firm.
Muirfield Homes by Alan Cheshier

We engaged Muirfield Homes to build a custom home for us in 2013. Since it is our second home, we wanted something small but with top line finishes - with lots of special touches added by us during the design and construction phases. It became clear that custom homes are Muirfield's specialty - all the way from the quality work from the subs, to the responsiveness from the Muirfield team. We now have a home that is well built, and I am sure that it quality construction will withstand the test of time and protect our home's value. Sure, it cost a bit more - - both my husband and I understand that our home is our greatest investment and the people at Muirfield never left our side during construction. My husband is an architect, so we may not have been the easiest clients that Muirfield has ever dealt with, and yes, we asked for more than a few changes during construction - they always accommodated us. About five months after the house was complete, we had what could have been a pretty significant problem with a custom item we had asked for during construction - - . Muirfield to the rescue! Cindy, Muirfield's amazing project manager, brought all of the subs involved to a meeting at our house and they were able to resolve the problem with no finger pointing. No doubt, I would recommend Muirfield to anyone looking for a custom builder with integrity, responsiveness and quality throughout all phases of construction.
Ten Key Home & Kitchen Remodels

We used Ten Key to remodel our kitchen. Our house was built in ‘94 in Chisholm Lake when fluorescent lighting, formica countertops and drop soffits with cut outs were big and I loathe them all. We had our cabinets painted, drop soffit removed, granite installed, backsplash added, can lights installed, and hardware changed. Everyone was so attentive and listened to any concerns from the design process to the actual remodeling process. We had some hiccups and had to extend the project out due to shipping delays and needing some fixes. We were kept in the loop on what was going on the whole way. When the project manager and owners would come by to check on progress they reviewed things that I never would have thought to look for myself. They were honest about if anything needed to be fixed and made sure it was taken care of.

Oak Leaf Custom Homes

We purchased a spec home that Oak Leaf built in 2009 and have lived there since. The home is well thought-out, efficient and well-constructed. We have had absolutely no problems since moving in. The finish-out is attractive and workmanly, and Oak Leaf's attention to detail is evident throughout the house. Jim Greene is himself respectful and easy to work with. We would recommend Oak Leaf to friends (and, in fact, have at every opportunity).

I'm a disabled veteran and we needed our house to be wheelchair accessible. We hired Garrett because after searching, we found that he does a lot of remodeling or building accessible homes. We also found he does a lot of veterans home for accessibility. Anyway, they are very professional and pay attention to detail. We added about 1500 square feet to our existing house. He knows all the requirements that need to be met to satisfy the Veterans Administration. He has great ideas when you are stumped on the design. The crew gets here every morning, and right at 7:00am they first hammer hits the wood. I think it is a wake up call and to let us know they are here. Lol. Personally I could wait till 9:00am. Well I just don't know what to write here other than I would strongly suggest that if you need work done and your looking for a contractor, here he is. He does a lot more than just accessibility issues and is a busy man. That helped me to decide to hire him. I used to,do remodeling and building before Military service. Being real busy is a sign that there is a lot of customers who are passing your name around. It was for me, so I take that into consideration.

After living in Oklahoma for 60+ years and with climate change happening more rapidly than we thought, we decided to get some tornado protection. We thought the Oklahoma City Home Show would be a good place to start so we went and saw about 10 or 12 different shelter vendors on display. After hearing one of my employees' stories about cramming 14 people into his garage floor shelter, we knew we didn't want to be any part of that experience. Most of what we saw at the Home Show were giant sardine cans for either above or below ground. Your cell phone would be blocked from working by the thick metal and they were just downright ugly to have below or above ground. Then we saw the only shelter at the show that seemed to be just what we were looking for: above ground, nice looking, no interference with cell phone transmission or reception and engineered to be the safest possible above ground shelter that could be assembled practically anywhere and still feel like a real room in your home. We also knew and trusted the name DuPont for engineering and professionalism. We knew their scientists who invented bullet-proof Kevlar would engineer a product we could trust. It met all the FEMA tests for safety and the only question left was can we trust the contractor to do it right and treat us right. We found both of these elements to be a solid plus in Philip Slater and Oklahoma Storm Rooms. We felt confident in Philip's thorough knowledge of his product and his ability to construct our 4 x 8 ft. shelter exactly where we needed it to be. He never let us down on any account. He supervised and took an active part in the construction of our Storm Room and we were more than pleased with him, his work and his product. We received no kind of discount or any other consideration for this recommendation. It is a pleasure to write a recommendation when you're lucky enough to do business with someone like Philip Slater. A job well done and a product worth having are reason enough to be recommending Philip to you. He's the real deal and we were pleased with every phase of his work. We hope we have the opportunity to work with him again. We are safe at home thanks to Philip. Steve and Lynn Garman. Oklahoma City, OK July, 2014.
