CASTILLO FENCING

Castillo Fencing built me the worst quality and ugliest fence in the neighbourhood which doesn't even provide the privacy that a fence should provide!! My neighbour and I agreed to share replace a good neighbour fence. As the neighbour's house is a rental, the agent recommended Castillo Fencing. The price felt reasonable enough and I was happy to move ahead. What a huge mistake. They rebuilt a fence about 6 inches shorter than the original and in some places because of the slope it's 10 inches shorter than the original and than was scoped and approved. I noticed it right away while it was being installed and I flagged it with the supervisor. He told me 'call the office' and kept going. I tried to call 4 ormes right away and it kept rolling to voicemail. There was no way to get to anyone and the very rude supervisor was of no help. I finally got a call back the next day but by then the fence up. I can literally look straight across into my neighbour's bedroom!!!! Plus there is no center railing to support the planks. I spoke to Dave the office manager who was nice enough but utterly impotent. I spoke to the owner who was unwilling to explore any option at all for raising it to the original height. He was a thug. He basically sad pay it or I'll put a lien on your house. Charming. Ultimately I did but have regretted it. Now 6 months on, not only do I have a fence that is significantly shorter than the original fence (so the adjoining side fences that were the same height look weirdly taller), but there are now gaps in the fence that are 1/2 - 3/4" wide. There is also no center railing to support it as uis customary. So it's short, unsupported and has huge gaps. What sloppy, crappy quality. Utterly appalling. I will now use the fencing company my other neighbour used to correct or replace Castillo shoddy work

Very poor quality overall - Used split & pealing 4x4 post they tried to cover with 1x6 pickets, gates they built won't open close properly because they are not square, they tried to fix gates once but neighbors and I still have sagging gates and they were 400 each. Sales rep that gave original quote stated - Nope we will not use Home Depot lumber we have another source with better redwood, every plank post rail that was used is from Home Depot all bar code tags were on redwood, I wanted to use better source for redwood from Berco but was assured another source would be used for redwood. Recommend using ANY OTHER fence co. But NOT Castillo Fence Co, not honest and will not fix errors they created! They were recommendation by Home Depot. I Contacted Home Depot, but they won't provide any coverage on the wood products they provided, I don't have the receipt they provided Castillo Fence co.

Julian did an excellent job and was very professional and hard working. He replaced our entire side fence (including putting in a double gate at our request) and also replacing our side gate. We are extremely happy with his work and will use him again in the future.

Julian Castillo and his team where exceptional to work with. They completed phase one of four phases and Castillo Fencing will be returning to complete the additional phases when we are ready. Julian's team was extremely receptive to our needs and continuously asked questions during the build to ensure the job was completed to our exact expectations. Great company, we look forward to working with them in the near future.
