“St. John Fence completed my board on board fence about 4 weeks ago. They were quick to show up and provide a quote and started the job two days later. They had the best price of the companies I spoke with and because their reviews were good I contracted with them for the project. During our discussion at the quote I was assured that the company would come back to take care of any problems that may be identified after the job was completed. The job was completed in two days. The crew did a good job and built a nice fence. I’m glad I was home during the process because I did have to point out a couple of poor cuts that I wouldn’t accept and a top rail that wasn’t nailed down properly leaving a big gap. They responded and quickly fixed the problems. When the fence was going up I noticed quite a few pickets with green paint along the edges. I pointed it out to the crew and they explained the vendor marked their wood bundles. I also pointed out a lot of the pickets had very rough edges with wood fibers sticking out. I told them the problems were not acceptable since I planned to clear coat the fence and the green paint would show through and fibers would look bad. The crew stated that they would come back and take care of everything. On the last day of the job Ron St. John and a woman (Ms. St. John I presumed) came by to check on things. I pointed out the paint and wood problems again and Ms. St. John stated that the crew would be back in a couple of days to clean all of that up. They did not come back initially. Over the next couple of weeks I noticed a few other problems that needed to be corrected. I emailed St. John Fence a list of problems with pictures of each, and I spoke with Ron. He said he would have someone out in a day or two to take care of things. They crew did come when I wasn’t home and fixed some things. But they still did not clean up the green paint and rough picket edges, which were my main concerns. Further attempts to contact Ron St. John about the problem were not successful and he has not responded to me after several days. While the fence is nice and seems to be well built, I am not pleased that the company has not returned to correct the problems with the fence pickets. If the company would take care of the problems as they promised I would happily give them a 5 star rating. But because of the problems I can give them no more than a 3 star. Edit on 11/7/2017: Change to 5 star rating There was apparently some miscommunication resulting in Ron St. John had not receiving all my messages. We had the opportunity to talk last evening and he assured me the problems would be quickly corrected. This morning a full crew showed up early and addressed all the remaining problems to my satisfaction. The end result is I not only have a very nice fence that is well built and on which I have received several compliments, but the company did stand behind their promises and addressed every problem I had. I am very pleased to edit my earlier review and give St. John Fence Co. a 5 star review.”

“Replaced ceiling in Florida Room due to leak in roof & repainted the walls. Very good job but could have been done in lesser time I believe. Also repaired ceiling in garage.”
