“Promised Path was absolutely terrific from energized start to polished finish. Angel Carrasco and his crew were so professional and personable, and completely dedicated to bringing to life the design for our once-desolate and beyond-ugly backyard. As the work progressed various challenges arose, from an excess of concrete having been poured in the 1970s to unexpectedly massive tree roots from our 70 foot tree. Design alterations were necessary and Angel and his crew went above and beyond with creativity and workmanship. The cedar walkway they created is so beautiful it should be featured in a magazine. At every step of the way our desires and concerns were respectfully acknowledged and acted upon. Installation of a fountain was the perfect final touch, along with lighting that we hadn’t thought was possible. The resulting project went beyond our dreams: a beautiful oasis of a backyard, a serene and beautiful retreat. We’ve had multiple follow-up visits to ensure the plantings are healthy and to replace the few that needed it, and a cheerful promise from Mr. Carrasco to call him if we need anything adjusted or enhanced. He has been better than his word. Angel Carrasco is the best contractor we have ever worked with and we would work with him again in a heartbeat.”

“We couldn’t be happier with California Smartscape. The whole team that we worked with from start to finish was excellent. Starting with Andrew he incorporated our current pool design, all the while adding functionality for our family needs, but always keeping aesthetics in mind. Our project manager Leo provided good communication on our project timeline and keeping us abreast on any project matters that needed to be attended to. Omar, the project foreman, was very approachable and offered continuous guidance on project details. He also has a keen eye for aesthetics during the construction process. If there was anything that didn’t look right he would ask us if this was how it was supposed to be or needed to be changed. Krissy was excellent in communicating and listening to our plant wants and incorporating them into our landscape design. Additionally, she offered great direction in final details of color selection, and decor. Overall we felt the whole team offered a great level of professionalism. Here are a few things we will look for in future construction companies: - Communication. - Has an eye for aesthetics. - Approachable for changes during the design process and minor details during installation. - Itemized invoice, we knew where every dollar was going and what it was paying for”
