“We cannot say enough good things about Nato Vargas and his excellent team. They did extensive drainage work for us in 2014: lowering back garden soil level 4 inches, digging and installing several french drains and installing a sump pump. We've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. Nato and crew also helped install our beautiful pergola. The back garden is now more than a garden, it's an outdoor living space for entertaining family and friends. In 2017 and 2020, Nato's crew repaired and stained our back garden fence, resurfaced the decomposed granite paths, installed a new mail box, replaced a garden gate and built a wood shelter for our recology bins. 2023 Nato and crew replaced our gas grill line with a fabulous flexible hose that should last forever. Most recently, 2025, Nato and crew replaced and stained most of our back garden fencing and replaced a wooden post providing structural support for our front porch roof. New photos of the back garden are attached to this review. It has been a pleasure working with Nato and his team for over 20 years!”

“Noé is a magician! He took my jumbled list of wants and desires and must-haves and turned them into the yard of my dreams! I wanted this look but, the plant doesn't grow well in my area. With a wave of the magic wand, he substituted another plant that was very happy here and looked marvelous. I got exactly the look and feel I wanted- a SoCal high desert look, in the San José Bay Area climate. I also wanted low water and low maintenance -- now instead of every 2 weeks of maintenance, it is every 3 months! I am so happy with the entire process, from design through installation to follow-up. Everyone at San Jose Tree Service & Landscaping is knowledgeable and easy to work with. You can't go wrong if you use their services; I highly recommend them.”

“Hamad and is staff were very friendly and did a great job with the space, especially given our budget and circumstances. We hired Mazingira Landscaping to finish our backyard project that was partly done by us and partly unfinished do to some concrete we had pulled up. We came to Hamad with a basic design idea but he helped finalize the details, so that it worked seamlessly into the half of yard we had already completed. The project included irrigation for the entire yard, paver and gravel installation, planting for a new bed, and sprucing up old beds. My wife and I (and our pup) are very happy with the results!”
