Jeff came up to inspect my 110 year old fireplace and discovered it was unusable fire hazard. Sellers did cosmetic work to give impression safe and ready to use. Jeff provided valuable technical expertise and is a true professional.

August West’s technician, Joe, was friendly , professional and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my new Regency fireplace and fixed it thoroughly. He fixed and cleaned the unit, installed the fire glass crystals, and tested the unit continuously for proper function. He also made the remote control function usable as an option. I was very pleased with Joe and appreciated his dedicated attention to detail. He also taught me how to use it correctly and on proper maintenance. He answered all my questions and it was Well worth the $325 service fee. Thank you Joe!

In April of 2017, I brought in my electric fireplace to be repaired. The "scrolling motor" burned out, so they replaced it. Fine. 7 months later, the unit broke again. I contacted "Curt" who said I could I bring the unit in again. One month goes by and I get no phone calls. So, I call them and I get, "We know nothing about yout unit. We'll have Curt call you." (I get no phone call) Another month passes by with no call. I call back again and finally someone tells me my unit is done. They replaced a light bulb. It cost me $126. Two months, no phone calls, 1 light bulb, and $126....oh yeah, and they broke the light knob on my unit....which of course they denied. I'm extremely disappointed with this place. I've called them several times so I could speak with Curt, but he never calls me back. I do not recommend doing business with them. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would.

Andrew, I'm sorry you felt obligated to post a negative review and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner than hoped. We offered to provide a service to you on an electric fireplace bought elsewhere, as we happen to sell the same brand. The first repair made was more than just like bulbs as the 'flickering motor' needed replacement in addition to the light bulbs themselves. The bulbs were replaced at our cost.

Fast forward nine months you called and said your fireplace wasn't working and was is it under warranty. I explained that likely it wasn't under warranty as replacement parts generally aren't covered for very long by the manufacturer but we'd have to take a look to see what was wrong with the fireplace before knowing.

Seeing that you brought your electric fireplace into our business during the height of our busy season, we unfortunately couldn't get to the diagnostic sooner than hoped. After finally having time to do so, my service tech took the fireplace apart, checked the system from top to bottom and realized the only thing wrong was the light bulbs needed replacement. We can't warranty light bulbs of course, therefore my tech drove to Lowes, bought new light bulbs at our cost of $25.67, re-installed the light bulbs and put the fireplace back together. Our service rate was $95 to cover our service tech's time, driving to Lowes, etc to repair your fireplace.

Again, my apologies for not meeting your expectations on this service so perhaps you'll find another source for your fireplace repairs moving forward.

My husband and I were looking to install a pellet stove in our home. Curt's team in the showroom as well as in the field were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. His sales team helped us choose the right manufacturer for our needs. The install crew did a great job with the install, cleaning up after themselves and sharing more information with my husband. The office crew at the showroom were terrific helping me in many ways. I would certainly recommend August West for your home!
