“We purchased a gas log set and fireplace folding screen from this shop in Va Beach probably close to 20yrs ago or so that we installed in our townhouse fireplace box that was designed for wood (chimney/vent) and we had to vent it still a bit to be able to stand even the low setting! ;-) It was the most beautiful and wonderfully designed set we've ever had- including our new dream home... in fact I'd go back to get a set for this house if we ever plan to use the fireplace (but have the tv over the mantle so....) Just had the most realistic look and came with the wool to place along the bottom flame ( looks like coals) that overall looked so realistic that many people thought it was a wood fire! It had a remote control that was adjustable (up and down- held it for a range) flame level which was SO super convenient and was still all working when we sold the house 5 yrs ago! We used that thing ALL winter long for probably 15yrs and even on low with our vent slightly cracked, it provided heat for our home to the point where our heating system bill remained quite low! (Apollo system) It was honestly perfect as it left the upstairs nice and cooler for sleep! ;-) The screen that I still use today is just gorgeous with a pewter color metal decorative scroll/fancy design atop a fine hole heavy metal black screen for a beautiful traditional look vs the chain pull screens that both fireplaces came with. Has a large front screen with two smaller side panels (high to low taper design) that fold in on ends. We get compliments all the time on it and did for the log set too!! Will say "you get what you pay for" as it was not inexpensive by any means. Hubby was right though when I balked at the prices- that it would be worth it and it WAS! Can't speak to the install- didn't utilize as my husband did the work of converting and installing it! Fyi- utilized natural gas”

I thought it was a pressure problem in the natural gas line, or a faulty fireplace, but it was just a draft problem, fixed easily and cheaply.
