“Jonathan/Hearthmaster was incredible in coming to our rescue on short notice when our builder was re-doing the outside of our 1940's fireplace and mantel and we realized we had one week to decide if we wanted to make it a working fireplace as new stone was being cut for the opening etc.. It had never been a working fireplace, it was way too shallow to burn real wood and would never meet current safety standards or building codes. I made a million phone calls and Jonathan was the only one who went out of his way to help us out on short notice and he fit us in on his one day off on Sunday. He came out, took measurements and figured out what he'd need to do to safely retrofit this old falling apart brick fireplace into a gas fireplace. Now it looks really cool and warms up the room and house beautifully. We love it. I might add all this happened right during the height of the busy season in the fall 2020 when everyone in the building industry was so busy. I might add, we asked Jonathan to come back out for a service call a year later as we had a question about the heat and safety of the art we placed above the mantel. It took a while but he did make it back out to help us and he's extremely busy. He's not only excellent at what he does, he's also a good person and has a great product.”

“I decided to write this review before completing our project as we are so impressed with the professionalism Ashlee Wood from Francois & Co in Denver has shown us. We are tearing out our current fireplace wall and fireplace (currently not centered and a large "TV nook" to the left of fireplace), and centering the new fireplace on the wall using Francois & Co Valenza mantel and raised hearth, installing a complete sound system with large TV above the mantel, and installing cabinetry on each side of the fireplace. Ashlee came to our home and helped us work through some challenges with our mantel and fireplace choices. She has been extremely responsive through email and texting, and has been so pleasant and patient while working through changes and confusion on our part. Ashlee has enlisted the help of her Tech Team and through use of her own knowledge, helped us tremendously with this process. We are working with a General Contractor, Fireplace Sales Associate, an AV Specialist, painters, drywallers, electricians, etc. And through it all, we have been so pleased with the organizational way in which this has been handled by Ashlee and Francois & Co. This is not an easy task with all the moving parts and without a showroom to visit to see the mantels and materials in person. (apparently the Denver office is in the process of moving their showroom so all mantels are in storage). We are now almost to the point of ordering our mantel (hopefully today or tomorrow) and beginning the demo phase! I will post an updated review once our project is complete and the mantel has been installed. I am really hoping the end result will be as positive as the beginning has been! So far, we couldn't be happier with the work Ashlee has done!”
