“I hired Robert to replicate an interior door with a couple requested changes, and it turned out great! My house was built in 1928 with very nice multiple level molding single panel doors. I have two cats and wanted to relocate the litter box to the basement, and so I needed to install a pet door, but I knew I would butcher the door if I did it myself. I also wanted the door to be longer as we are taking out the thick carpet and refinishing the hardwood floors, and the bottom gap from the current door would be too large. I called several places for quotes on the project, 4 responded. Two were insanely expensive, at $2k and $4k for the project. Robert's price at $530 was right inline with the 4th quote, but he was more responsive and I liked his website showcasing past work. Robert was easy to work with and quickly understood what I was looking for. He was flexible with evening pickup and delivery times, allowing me to not miss work. When he delivered the door, he quickly made the modifications needed to have the new door fit fit in the old, non-square frame. I'd highly recommend him and have attached some pictures for comparison (old door is painted).”

“I first brought Boxco into the project to help me figure out how I could get more counter space and keep the same small footprint of the kitchen It was a joy working with Gallagher who listened and came up with elegant solutions for my space.Once I could see the possibility of more counter space. it was clear I needed to redo the 40+ year old kitchen which Boxco guided me through from start to finish. Gallagher is efficient, knowledgeable, clear, not afraid to offer suggestions and a pleasure to work with. It was the same with Dave who spent more or less a week installing the cabinets and creating the spaces for the appliances. He is a fine craftsman, works patiently, systematically and very considerate. I love my new kitchen! the cabinets are beautiful - finely crafted and so easy to use. The finish on the cabinets and color are pleasing.”

“Just delighted to work with another client at Vartanian yesterday. This is a family-run business and you really feel the difference. The welcome is warm and the showroom is a comfortable place to spread out and get work done. Staff are all helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely a client-focussed, can-do attitude here. Being a color specialist, I am happy to learn that Vartanian does custom colors using the Benjamin Moore palette....thousands of color to choose from! Right now, with painted kitchens being extremely popular, this gives us so much more than the "stock plus" colors offered everywhere else. “We didn't end up hiring John Canty, but we probably should have! Our house is in need of a full gut job. John was very helpful and knowledgeable when he came in to look at our house. We ended up hiring another contractor, who we have since fired, because he worked with a friend a friend of ours. We should have known that you need to mesh with your GC and create good communication lines with them -- we learned quickly that just because a GC worked well with someone you know, it doesn't mean they'll work well with you! John was very upfront and honest about the costs and quality of the job we'd get, and we should have trusted our gut instinct to hire him! It's been 4 months and we're still waiting to get started on our house.”

“I asked Dan Martin and his team at Goguen Construction to design a plan to build an in-law apartment above my garage and over my kitchen and bathroom area. This area will consist of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. I also wanted to make some changes to my existing rooms in my house. This would include adding a master bedroom and bath and a walk-in closet. They listened to my concerns and worked with me to create the perfect plan for me. Dan was willing to come to the office and meet with me after working a full day to go over all the plans. Even after the plans were complete I had asked about moving one of the bedrooms to where the living room was going to be. Dan was very accommodating and reworked the design for me without hesitation. Brenda Hancock is their Kitchen and Bath Designer. She is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with and will make your living space a dream come true. She came up with great suggestions and ideas that I would have never thought of. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficient nature of his team. Their work on this design exceeded my expectations on all levels. It was a pleasure working with their team and I would highly recommend Goguen Construction to anyone that is looking to build or remodel their home.”
