I've worked with DuChateau both personally and professionally. I have their hardwood, remodelled our bathrooms with them, and used their kitchen, bath, and closet cabinets across several projects. The materials are consistently high quality, and clients always love the results. Their kitchen, bath, and closet offerings are stunning, all made in Italy with full customization options. It's rare to find a brand that delivers at this level across so many categories. They're my first recommendation every time.

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY!!! We spend 18k and dealing with product issues since installation. Our floor has been fixed 3x already in first year. Duchateau manufacturing blaming on everything else just not their expensive product. We regret our choice!!

is a weak product that buckles and flakes off in common conditions where other products do not. their vinyl is lack luster.

The Oil finished flooring looks great and very resistant to dog nails. Problem we have is that these floors are noisy when walking on them. Hoping renewal oil treatment will help to quiet things down a little. We installed 2500sq ft of this flooring and would hate to rip it all out to put down a quieter product. It bugs me that much :( We didn’t do the glue down method for the install due to the high cost of the glue, if we had then maybe we would be ok. Method used was flooring cleats per mfr specs. So anyone looking to install this flooring make sure to do the glue down option.

Customer service is awful and don’t be fooled by the floors. - many out there better and priced better. And did I mention how awful their customer service is?

I work at a retail store in Michigan and our customers love DuChateau products. They are simply gorgeous and add beauty to any room. The finish wears really well and gives a great option for active family households/homes with pets. We have a fairly large area of one of the Chateau Collection colors installed in our showroom and it has shown abuse from the wear of the table and chairs that are frequently used daily. We even have a display over it and have gouged the floor with a corner of the display. We were able to buff out that gouge and all of the scratching/wear marks by using their method for removing them and the cleaner and finish that comes with the product. Very impressed! Their customer service is also very easy to work with and their reps are very well selected to represent the company and are quick to respond and professional. I would recommend to anyone looking for an oil finish wood floor!

Used Duchateau in our new build and it was the perfect color griege, not too gray, not too beige. Fantastic floor.

Duchateau’s outside sales rep; Hannah Jansma, is the reason I sold so much of this product! She educated our entire staff on the history of the company as well as the quality of the product. The wood is European Oak and comes from Spain and France. Ships from California. They only use natural products to enhance the tannins of the wood such as hobo oil, clay, and bees wax. It is an engineered hardwood that will look more beautiful with time compared to a urethane finished wood from a different vendor. My clients have all loved these floors and it is incredible that they named one after this sales rep! Check out the Hannah from the Lineage Series. Just like the rep she is a winner!!!

I am a retailer who sells Duchateau and I cannot say enough good things about Hannah (our rep) and the company. They are always so easy to work with and very attentive! I had a large high end install and we ordered the pre-finished stair treads and risers and they were absolutely beautiful.

We bought the DuChateau engineered wood flooring in White Oiled and were just shocked by the subpar product (at a premium price) and horrible customer service. First we purchased their wood floors which were sold as “made in France” - the boxes arrived labeled as made in China. Which is fine - but the vendor misinformed us that they were European made. Second issue- I contacted Du Chateau customer service regarding the “matching” stair bullnose which we ordered from DuChateau - which were a completely different color from the flooring - and no reply, no followup to address or fix this issue. Unacceptable. Would never recommend this company or their products to anyone.

I recently installed Duchateau LuxeTech 20 on 2000+ square feet in my home. I am very pleased with my decision to do so. The flooring is beautiful. It is visually stunning and brings warmth and brightness to my home. The product is pet friendly in that it doesn’t scratch and it cleans up well. Good product!

We have had our Duchateau “Maddie” engineered wood floors for over a year. Our 1992 house had carpeting throughout when we bought it. I was worried that the coziness of the space would lessen with wood floors. I have been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the floors feel and look. In fact, I believe the beauty of these floors have enhanced our living space in many ways; warmth, color, and comfort. It looks as if our home should have had these floors all along. After a year they have been extremely durable and I have been told they are easy to install. I am completely satisfied with our choice of Duchateau Flooring and would highly recommend them to others.

Beyond disappointing. We spent over $35,000 on new floors with a remodel . We immediately had problems starting with a white film on the floors. In the six months we have had them they now stain. If water gets on them it soaks into the wood and watermarks. They scratch like crazy and have already started to fade wherever sun hits them. It’s like there is no finish on them at all. On top of all of that they splinter so you have to run around with a stain pen fixing the exposed wood spots. Customer service came out and they have refused to do anything even when our sales person and installer has said there is a problem. Terrible company. There are lots of better options out there .

We absolutely LOVE our new DuChateau floors! When we started hardwood floor shopping, there were thousands of options to choose from and we felt very overwhelmed. We were pointed in the direction of DuChateau at a local shop and we immediately recognized the obvious high quality. When we compared the samples to other brands, DuChateau was the clear winner! In addition to the great material, we were extremely fortunate to work with the local rep, Reid Oliver. Reid was an absolute Rockstar – professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in choosing the right floor for us. We went with The Riley from The Guild Collection and we love the variation in color, the character, and the durability. They have held up better than we expected and have not shown a single scratch from our very active 4-year old dog. We couldn’t be happier we went with DuChateau!

I had these floors installed last year and they are absolutely gorgeous! I love the quality of the floors, and the depth and character it adds to my space. Are used Hailee and they are the perfect balance between warm and cool. On top of that the company was great to work with and I cannot recommend them more.

Had very bad experience with Duchateau hardwood floor. Payed over 10k for low quality hardwood, with cosmetic issues. Customer service manger promised to call back and never did. The worst company I’ve dealt with in 2019.

As Duchateau customers we have recommended DuChateau to all our friends looking to install new floor as they are always very impressed when they visit our home. After all these years, the floors look as beautiful or even more beautiful than when they were installed, and having kids, they are not only beautiful but super easy to maintain.

These floors are absolute perfection! I am an interior designer and have used DuChateau flooring on my client's project and in my own personal home office. I love my Duchateau floors that we installed early February. We chose the color, Riverstone Lys, it is such a great mid-tone floor. This color goes great with both warm and cool tones in my home. We also have a 9 year old German Shorthair pointer, who sheds and this floor hides it so well. It has such a nice texture of feeling like wood without being too rustic. I just installed the the white oil rubbed herringbone floor, St. Moritz, by Du Chateau. I love how it adds texture to the space. I immediately felt transported to old world Europe, and loved how it grounded the space. Herringbone has been on my wishlist for a while, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

We used Duchateau LVP in Youngscombe throughout our new modern farmhouse. We have two kids and two cats and live on acreage. We have been in our house for a year and our floors look like the day they were installed. They are stunning. I would recommend them to anyone!

UPDATE: after getting the message from DuChateu below I’ve reached out tot them for 3 + weeks. Zero response from them on the contact they gave me. Really appalled at the customer service level. We loved the look of DuChateau floors and decided to put them in our new 4200 sq foot custom home as well as in our commercial projects. I’m glad we decided to install at home first because after spending over 50k on the floor material alone, the finish is coming up in so many places that it looks horrible. We’ve had the floor for less than a year. In some areas the installer admitted he used blue tape which can damage the finish but that’s only 10% of the problem. It seems to come off in other random areas as well. I would never use this flooring again and we are so disappointed with this “High end” flooring. The installer has installed the same floor in other home without issue which made him/us think that there may be an issue with our batch. DuChateau did call a rep out to check and they sent a letter to our contractor stating that damage was all due to blue tape and not using the proper cleaner. What?? I spend $50 on the DuChateau cleansr before we moved in and that’s all we’ve been using. Total ridiculously false statement. They do not stand behind their warranty at all. Please beware and save yourself a massive disappointment.

We recently installed Luxcor Vinyl Deluxe Grand Collection in Loretta color (VDG-LOR9). We had it installed on stairs and entire second floor (about 1000 square feet). The sample was placed on a thick sturdy board. I was concerned it would look and feel like laminate and not replicate wood. I was told it was being put in high end condos. It looks great on the sample but looks and sounds cheap in a large area. It click-clacks when you walk on it. No one would think it looks anything like wood after seeing it in a large area. Before you consider it ask to see somewhere it is installed. It will look nothing like the sample. The stair nose would not hold so it had to be attached with a pin nailer. Huge mistake. Looks cheap not luxurious.

we have had a Duchatea hardwood flooring for 3 years. I get alot of compliments on it from guests. When we purchased the flooring there wasn't anything that looked comparable to it. We fell in love. However, it is a very thin layer of wood which dents and chips easily. Also can give slivers. 9-12 months ago I had our retailer out to check the floor because the knots are raising as well as the grain. The retailer never heard back from their rep. It also requires a yearly maintenace oil application. On the upside, the oil hides the scratches which happen easily. I am not thrilled with the way this floor is holding up.

Fantastic products and great customer service. I used Du Chateau vinyl flooring for a project recently and it turned out beautiful and it was easy to install. I would highly recommend using them.

The Du Chateau product is an excellent group of finish materials for the embellishment of the built environment. The selection of stains and finishes are a bonus to any designer. The wall clad wood panels are a wonderful accent to use to create that special focal point. We look forward to using the products in a new and creative way again.

TERRIBLE. We built a new house and when we uncovered the floors they began to splinter. Not only did our granddaughter get a huge sliver, our contractor did as well. When the local rep came out tried to stain some places the painters tape pulled up the color. The next visit he put up his hands and said to get a independent inspector. The inspector stated it was a health hazard. Now the rep tells us to tell our grandchildren to wear shoes in the house. Not my house.

The original sample that was sent for approval was amazing. However, the timeline to receive the actual product for installation was delayed due to the moving of their manufacturing plant. We approved for and placed the order in February and did not receive the product until late July. After the flooring was installed we started experiencing gaps in the flooring, cracks, wood glue was coming up between the boards, shrinkage and overall the floor was taking on an unnatural color. We have made several attempts since November to file a claim and have given DuChateau many chances to make it right, however, to date, they are refusing to do anything about their failed product. Claims department has been impossible to deal with and keeps stalling any resolution. I would not recommend them or their product if this is how they handle claims. Very disappointed.

THE WORST! Floors are splintering and they are giving me the run around. They had some random guy come and give me an estimate who said he refuses to work with the company. After the estimate they demanded an inspector come out who said the damage was greater than they say it was and now they REFUSE to pay for ANY work until the work is done and for no greater than the guy THEY sent out said it would cost to do. DO NOT USE THEM!

We installed their White Oak in Vernal series throughout the house. Great quality and received great review from the guy installed the floor for us. Usually the contractors complain about the material but hardwood is the only thing nobody complains about in this entire rebuild project. It’s looks gorgeous and contemporary. I’ll post more pictures and update review once the house is all completed.

Great looking product, utterly unreliable company. Work with them at your own risk. Still waiting on them to complete my order. Have had most of it for weeks but now remodel is stalled because I don't have all of it. Schedule disaster and DuChateau not responding.

We have been a proud dealer of DuChateau flooring for over 10 years now. We have many happy customers and have always been happy with the quality of their products. I've had Kasteel installed in my home for about 9 years, and recently installed Strata, Chateau, Atelier Tidal and Burnt Oak in our new showroom. They all look amazing! We love all of the advantages of Hard Wax and Oil flooring, and our customer feedback has been fantastic!

Recently purchased 50 boxes of the Vernal Collection in Natural for my house remodel. Overall the flooring looks great. Unfortunately I had my contractor stop the floor installation when the board selection coming out of some boxes were so off and not within the range I was sold on. I completely understand this is a natural product and color variances will occur from board to board, however the colors that came out of 4 boxes look nothing what is in other boxes. Very very disappointing. Buyer beware as you may not get what you purchased. Now I am stuck with 4 unusable boxes of super light or super dark wood and now contemplating of not using this floor for the other half of my remodel if this is the quality of wood selection provided by a "premier" flooring vendor. If you are looking for the Best of the Best, look no further. We picked Atelier hardwood flooring for our home in San Diego and it is the perfect complement to our decor. The wood experts at DuChateau were able to create custom colors which compliments our lifestyle. They matched the reddish tone of our library with a custom version of Inferno and they even matched our long hair cat's coloring with Lava Gray. I'm very happy and satisfied with the beautiful wide and long planks. Every plank has its own unique look and character. Our friends and neighbors all compliment our latest home improvement and we are extremely proud of how it all turned it.

These floors are beautiful and absolutely breathtaking when installed. They are super versatile because of their classic/modern look and provide a great option when transitioning between traditional and contemporary styles (ideal for remodels) I have found the wide plank design to compliment the architecture and really help open up rooms to make them look bigger! Truly a magical floor, that can look good with a variety of styles and color schemes and also adds a warmth, richness, and depth to my designs that I have only found with Du Chateau hardwood floors.

After an extensive search for flooring options I found DuChateau and was impressed by their selection and the quality of their materials. However, what I liked the most is their staff. Very knowledgeable, easy to work with people. They worked with us, provided us samples and had the patience so we could be totally satisfied. Next time I'm in search for flooring, I will no question go back to DuChateau.

We bought this floor (Oak, Ernest Hemingway,Oyster) one year ago and is still looking like a new one...We was and we really are very satisfied with all the deal and customer care from DuChateau....Highly recommended....

Our home was transformed from the traditional tile to a classic beauty with our new DuChateau Castile floors. We started with just 1 room, then over the course of a year, we added more and more rooms until our recent project of over 5,000 s/f of DuChateau wood flooring which now covers every square inch of our home. The quality is excellent and our installers mentioned how little scrap was leftover. Every interaction with DuChateau customer service reps was professional and they were so very courteous and attentive to every need. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I would absolutely recommend them to everyone!

When my order did not arrive on the promised date, Du Chateau told me not to worry, they would get it delivered after I left on my vacation so that it could still be installed while I was away. It did arrive, but it was the wrong color, a color that was several shades darker than what I ordered. The Du Chateau salesman came to my house, we looked at the floor together with the retailer who sold me the floor, and all agreed that the color wasn't even close to being correct. The company told me they would ship me the right floor and was working on reimbursing me for the installation. They led me on for months thinking this would happen and for weeks now will not return my calls. I am now stuck with extremely dark floors which I did not order, we all double checked the invoice to make sure what I ordered was correct. Unfortunately at this point, I will miss the installation window during my upcoming vacation. At this price point, I expected the right product to be shipped on time and for the company to right their wrong as they said they were going to do. I would not recommend working with this company as this entire situation has been completely unprofessional, there are other companies out there who make similar products. I wish I would have seen all of the poor reviews before I spent thousands of dollars with this company.

Found their product good but they are not a customer oriented company. We are doing our second floor with DuChateau and made a very simple mistake on the order that we admitted too and they are now holding us to ransom. They are cash up front so very little leverage. Disappointing to explain to family about the floor at Thanks Giving.

I installed in my entire home DuChateau VCT flooring. In 4 years my beautiful grey flooring has completely lost its coloring by all the windows. What was once grey is completely muddled and even "blue" in some spaces. If I move the furniture, you can see a huge difference in the color. In fact, even the glue has now turned pink. Also review their 20 year warranty. It cover nothing - not even discoloration! The flooring looks good but don't expect it to last.

This is the best wood fl that money can by. The flooring is every thing and more than you can ask for. The look of the flooring changed the whole dynamics of our house. Upkeep is easy and the flooring takes a beating from our 4 year old boy. Looks as good as the day we installed it. If you want that reclaimed look this is your product.

I'm an interior designer in Napa, CA and we put Du Chateau wood flooring throughout our entire house last year. We couldn't be happier with the results. The wear and tear, even with a dog, is hardly noticeable. The floors are great quality and feel very substantial. There is nothing "cheap" looking about this flooring. The floors look amazing and the first question everyone asks is what kind of floors are these? The floors make such a huge impact when you enter the house. I have installed Du Chateau in a dozen homes in Coronado and everyone is so glad that they chose Du Chateau.

As an Interior Design Firm we love working with Du Chateau and have been extremely happy with their products. We used Du Chateau floors in our office and for the San Francisco 2014 Showcase House and have received many compliments for both rooms. The laminate flooring looks exactly like wood and has exceeded our expectations. Du Chateau is also very accommodating and always on time; We highly recommend working with Du Chateau Floors!

Product quality was not as promised. The flooring was supposed to be scratch resistant and excellent for use in high traffic areas. Which is why we purchased it. We installed it in our kitchen, living room, bedroom and hallway. A certified Du Chateau installer was used as required for the warranty coverage. In a short time we started noticing deep scratches in multiple areas (and we don't even have children or pets to blame)! Du Chateau sent out a representative who was mystified about the scratches and he agreed that it was unusual to see that type of damage. He took one of our planks back to corporate for analysis. They concluded that our claim had no merit due to the fact that they couldn't replicate our scratches. They refused to do anything to resolve our issue. They stated that of the thousands of square feet that they have installed, "this is the first time they have seen this problem". If this is how a company deals with their first claim ever, I wonder what they will tell the next victim of this inferior product warranty?

Their flooring is amazingly beautiful- I am wild over their Vernal Collection... and all of their other products are absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend checking them out!
