Karen was a pleasure to deal with at every stage of this process. Beyond that the quality of the wood can't be beat at any price and her prices are lowest we saw. When our house unexpectedly flooded she was very accommodating, holding the order until the house was sorted.

I have now worked with Karen at K.D.Woods on several projects. She is by far the best in the business! She is the MOST knowledgeable , resourceful, helpful, and professional. The prices cannot be beat! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

We worked with Karen Durning of KD Woods for a large flooring purchase, and I highly recommend her company! Karen was tireless in finding us the perfect solution for our home, and her pricing was fantastic. She navigated a difficult shipping process- we couldn't receive the flooring via a semi, and she arranged for a transfer to a straight truck, and got the wood there on exactly the date promised. We will definitely be calling her when we are ready for the second floor to be installed- her service was above and beyond what we expected. And the flooring- beautiful!!

We purchased reclaimed heart pine flooring from The Woods Company for an addition. Karen was very helpful during our showroom visit. She discussed various options, and provided samples (nice sized samples, not dinky sticks). The showroom is a great place to see various finished products and how they look. Karen also showed us the different finish options and also provided samples so we could take them home and compare/contrast with the rest of the house. Their delivery was as promised and her estimate of square footage needed with great. We had very little wastage. A great experience!

My husband and I bought a new home in the fall of 2013 and wanted hardwoods throughout. We wanted the house to have a "modern farmhouse" look, so the thin-plank, glossy red oak look that we saw everywhere was NOT what we wanted. The wide-plank, matte flooring with big knots that we fell in love with at several local retail stores was $15-25/sq. ft. We couldn't afford it. Enter The Woods Company! Karen Durning was truly a joy to work with. She was incredibly helpful and was able to get us exactly what we wanted, within our (tight) timeframe, AND within our budget. Our installer (who has been in the business for 35 years and initially tried to talk us into buying from another company) said that our gorgeous white oak from the Woods Company is some of the finest quality he has ever worked with. When our friends come over, the first thing that they mention is how gorgeous our floors are. We could not possibly be more thrilled with our experience with Karen and The Woods Company, and we would recommend them to anyone.

Our house was built in 1741. When we decided to replace our kitchen floor, we knew we wanted old wood. The Woods Co. was great! They sent samples of everything I asked for and some things they thought might be appropriate. The samples were large enough to really see what you would be getting. We had an opportunity to visit their showroom and meet some of their wonderful staff. They answered all our questions, the material was beautiful and was delivered as promised. We had a couple small replacement projectsas well and needed worm hole chestnut, not an easy find. They were happy to provide just what we needed and it looks like it's been there since 1741. I would highly recommend this company.

I love the antique reclaimed oak floors I got from The Woods Company. Excellent customer service. Beautiful product that adds so much depth, warmth and dimension to my kitchen and front hallway. I did have issues on the contract side of the project, which had nothing to do with The Woods Company. But these floors are unique so make sure you have someone who knows how to handle this awesome product.

After searching many months for elm hardwood flooring to match existing floors in my home, I finally found reclaimed Elm Hardwood on the internet at The Woods Company. To my surprise The Woods Company is located in my state. I called and describing what I was looking for and they were nice enough to send me samples. I called them to place my order and give details of my project. They were very helpful and accommodating. The finished project is beautiful and rustic with a lot of character and looks perfect with my country décor.

We purchased over 4200 Sq Ft. of Random Width Antique Distressed Oak from The Woods Company in March 2013 at a cost of over $31,000. Our salesperson assured us of the high quality product and expert milling that The Woods Company advertises on their website. After letting the wood acclimate for a few weeks and having the floor installed, but not finshed yet, we noticed that there were large ridges throughout the floor. This was not the rustic distressed look that we love. One of the widths of our flooring was milled too thick. We called The Woods Company immediately and they came out to inspect and he concluded that the flooring was milled incorrectly. He said it was their fault that the floor was not milled correctly but because the floor was installed they wouldn't be able to refund our money. We disputed that this really made their warranty worthless as there would be no way to tell of any milling problems on a job this size until the floor was actually installed. Keep in mind, the floor wasn't finished yet with polyurethane or oil. We spoke directly with the owner and he agreed that is was their fault and would refund us $8000 of the more than $31,000 we spent on our flooring. That number was arrived at due to the $3800 extra sanding costs we had incurred to get the ridges out by drum sanding the entire floor which ruins the look you are going for with a distressed oak floor. The other $4200 was $1/square foot for the 4200 sq. ft. of flooring we ordered. That seemed very accomodating of us as only getting $4200 back for defective flooring on an order of $31,000 is a very cheap way out for them. The other $3800 was for our extra costs. As of November, 2013 we have stilled not received anything from The Woods Company. They have assured us we will be paid on numerous occasions over the more than 6 months since he wrote us and promised to pay $8000 for the defective flooring. He has now resorted to saying that The Woods Company can't afford to pay us. Our order alone was $31,000 and the agreed refund was $8000. Barry Stup and The Woods Company advertise that they stand behind their products, are milling experts and can be trusted. I urge anyone considering purchasing anything from The Woods Company to steer clear from this company. If there is ever an issue they will not stand behind their products and even do what they put in writing.

This company is the best! I was looking for good, quality hardwood floors for my home. Karen was my salesperson. She was extremely helpful. I ended up going with their character grade white oak flooring. It is BEAUTIFUL! Everything I was looking for. The quality was EXCELLENT! I would definitely use them again. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for an honest, quality product company.
