We contracted with Kanters to do several rooms of new carpeting including stair runners. The product arrived within a few weeks and the pricing was reasonable and fair. Because the project was large we broke the install up into two parts. As it turned out thank God we did. The problem started with the first group of installers. Instead of the 9 AM start time promised they arrived ( after several phone calls) at 10:20 am, music blasting, with no excuse. It was downhill from there. They proceeded to ask me why I was replacing a carpet which “ looked great” and then apparently decided to salvage it. The method of removal is usually careful not to damage the moldings or trim. This method appeared to be to try and get as big a piece of carpet intact as possible from each room, resulting in damage to our moldings, door frames and even walls. It wasn’t until they finished for the day at unbelievably, 2:45, that we realized what we were dealing with. Not only did we have significant trim and wall damage but they left nails and staples sticking out on the stairs where the carpet treads had been removed. We actually pulled them out ourselves because we were afraid that both of us and the cat would be hurt. They left a huge roll of carpet in our living room. The next day we resolved to watch them as closely as possible and hope they left asap. Unfortunately they didn’t finish. The third day the boss made one of them return to finish the job, and he brought along his wife who spoke no English but was supposed to help him. He strapped a vacuum pac onto her and told her to clean but all she accomplished was to crack another door frame with the wand. He finally managed to finish and we asked them to leave, even though he had not done the stairs as planned. We just wanted them gone. A nightmare from start to finish. We told Kanters who apologized but took no responsibility for the damage, something I cannot understand. Where is the customer service?. The boss of the installers has offered to pay for the damage but quite frankly I don’t want any of them here ever again. For the second phase of the install they sent excellent installers who were quiet, respectful, on time, competent and did an amazing job without a scratch on the trim or anything else. They worked hard and finished in one day. They even corrected a couple of mistakes the first crew had made. We were delighted and tipped them accordingly, . We were repeat customers but Kanters showed very little in the way of consideration, no phone call, email, nothing. . It didn’t seem to phase them that the first installers did the things they did and left us with upset and damage. We would never have had these people in our home if not for Kanters. I’m giving the project 1 star only because we love the carpet and the second group of installers were great. I’d give the first part of the project zero stars and Kanters the same. We won’t be using them again.

I would highly recommend Kanter. I recently had them replace my basement carpet and they did a wonderful job. I moved into a new house and had a one day window to install the carpets before our furniture came. The team at Kanter worked tirelessly to ensure they were in and out on that specific date. Not only was the carpet installed on time but the crew was professional the end result was beautiful.

They have cared for our antique rugs, mended old rugs, cleaned rugs and installed wall to wall throughout our home. This is a family business and they have been generous in sharing their expertise with us. They know their business well and are very professional. Appointments are made in a timely manner, pick-up and delivery are available, installation is done with ease. Communication is open and honest. We tell them how much we want to spend and they can offer us several options that will suit our budget. I would not even think of using any other carpet business but Kanter"s, they have proven to be the best time and again.

We hired Kanter's to custom install a runner on our main staircase and upstairs hallway. Everyone from the showroom to the installation crew was professional and respectful. We are completely satisfied with the quality and price. Will definitely use Kanter's again.

They inserted Carpet in my basement. It was done in a professional manner. It was a pleasure to work with the Kanter company.

From the start to the finish Kanter's has the best employees, service and installation I have ever come across. They work with you, resect your budget, needs and wants. Having just moved to the area and with little to no experience with carpeting the folks at Kanters were beyond helpful. Not only did they guide me through the whole process and offer advice and suggestions, they also followed up and checked in regularly. They're warm, friendly and oozing with hospitality. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I went to Kanter's looking for carpet for my newly finished basement playroom. I was impressed by the selection and also happy that they understood my needs and didn't try to push me to a more expensive product. The guys who installed it were very professional and did a great job.

Brian, and his installation team, led by Jorge, did a meticulous job. They removed the old carpet covering the basement concrete floor, installed a subfloor, and finished with engineered hardwood on the floor and stair treads. I will happily use their services again for any flooring project.

Extremely helpful! Stand behind there product! I wanted something very specific , a border on my runner and they didn't think it would work in my space , given my staircase... They gave me other options and said even though it would cost more to do what I actually wanted , I would never be happy it would buckle ..... I really appreciated their honesty and went with their recommendation... Couldn't be happier!
