I have been specifying Kentwood products for many years and have had no issues with their products. The quality is exceptional, that with the beauty of each product definitely adds value to any space. Our rep is very knowledgeable of the product and is quick to respond to any questions we may have. She is very helpful in recommending products to fit within a specific budget to achieve the looking we are aiming for. I have recommended Kentwood to many Clients, friends and family and I hope to install it one day in my own house. I would highly recommend Kentwood.
We had a home built, and had Kentwood engineered hardwood flooring put in everywhere but the 2 bedrooms. I have to agree with most of the reviews I've read here. If you are considering this flooring.. PLEASE read the warranty before committing!! It's quite a heads up.. with I would have seen it beforehand. If you want to LIVE on your floors.. (which are beautiful to look at, for sure) READ THE WARRANTY!!! There are a LOT of don'ts.. I would NEVER recommend this floor! It was an expensive upgrade... and a huge disappointment. We SO REGRET getting this flooring!! They do not hold up at all. Scratch easily... the solution? A marker to color in the scratch. Had one of their field associates come and look at the scratches and damage.. that occurred even being super careful... and it was considered usual "wear". Very disappointing. Waste of money.
It's a terrible flooring! We bought our new place which installed Kentwood Brush Oak floor. The color variation dents and crack on the flooring boards really shock us. it's only 11 months and we felt these floor will not last even five years. don't waste money.
Please stay far away! We renovated our house and Kentwood flooring in 80 percent of it. I loved the style of the wide boards and gorgeous colours. I paid a bit more because I thought I was buying quality flooring with a 25 year warranty. This floor is so fragile, it’s been around five years and the floor is so damaged. Many places the finish has completely come off. Many other places it’s dinged and dented. Dirt gets in the wire rushing and won’t come out. It’s to the point that I’m embarrassed for people to see my floor. Good luck getting them to honour the warranty. Save yourself a headache and buy better quality flooring.
Installed Kentwood Originals Brushed American Walnut Natural Studio in our kitchen remodel/dining room addition in early 2020. Noticed denting and scratching immediately (on one occasion I was sweeping and a small pebble brushed along the floor leaving a 4" scratch- how do you clean a kitchen floor if you can't sweep it?!). Contacted manufacturer who inspected and said this was natural wear and tear. This is a kitchen/dining room floor and it can't stand up to a pebble?! (also have seen it dent from a toddler dropping a 1 lb toy from 2'). I'm considering having it scuffed and re-poly'd. Otherwise I fear in 4 years it will need full replacement. Maybe good for a bedroom but I would NOT buy this for high traffic areas. (pics don't show full extent; and these are a few examples of about 20)
Purchased 1500 sq ft plus, Kentwood Elements "Maple Angeles" in January 2016, for our custom dream home. It is now December 2017 and the finish is wearing off behind our kitchen island and under the counter stools. The flooring was professionally installed and has been properly taken care of (ie vacuumed and Woodpecker cleaner/mop) only. We are so disappointed that we purchased this flooring. We had Mirage flooring in the past for over 25 years, without any wear even in a high traffic hallway. Can't believe that Kentwood thinks this flooring will survive in a commercial installation, when it doesn't last in residential. Went to the carpet store today to purchase runners for everywhere there is wear. Kind of defeats the open concept look. What a shame, it looked beautiful when it was installed, but obviously looks are deceiving. Warranty states that it won't cover high traffic areas, as finish wear is not covered. What is the purpose of a 25 year warranty? Can't wait to rip it out!
We've been specifiying Kentwood flooring for almost a decade in both residential and commercial applications. Our clients have always been incredibly satisfied with both the quality and the aesthetics - and we've never had a warranty issue. I love their product so much that I used it in my own home!
We have used Kentwood products in countless jobs over the years and have never run into any problems. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are always willing to help. I would highly recommend them for any hardwood purchases.
