LHF. Inc. was founded in 1983 by Daniel Lee. Daniel started his career in hardwood floors in 1980 traveling the Southeastern coast installing gymnasium floors. Some of the gymnasiums Daniel worked on include the Dean Smith Center and North Carolina Central University. Daniel's solo career began with one truck and one helper. Daniel would work during the day installing and finishing hardwood floors and at night estimating the next hopeful job. Lee's has grown into the largest source of quality hardwood floor installation and refinishing in the Greater Triangle area. Lee's has grown into a company with unmatched service and quality. That is apparent as soon as you enter our 6000 square-foot showroom. Lee's is a family owned and operated company with hands-on participation from Daniel Lee and his wife Tina Lee. Daniel is responsible for the estimates while Tina runs the day-to-day operations of the office, scheduling jobs and ensuring that every customer receives first class customer service.

Received an estimate
The gentleman that came out to do the estimate was very friendly and through. That's where the good ended. I originally called them for an estimate to replace a portion of one bedroom and sand the floor of that bedroom. They gave me an estimate that included sanding the entire house. I asked for that work to be separated out and I got a cold email in reply that said they don't do that and that their minimum job requirement is $2300 (!). In what reality would anyone pay that much for one bedroom? That info would have been helpful from the beginning. So, if you don't think your job will cost more than $2300, save your time.
Lee's does a great job. I'm impressed with the quality of work and how they approach operations. Jeremy heads up the quoting of initial job scope. The tear out team arrived next, as scheduled and completed the work on schedule, leaving the work areas clean and taking all debris. Next came the sanding/staining crew lead by Bryan. He was professional and courteous making sure we were happy with the stain color. He came back the next day with additional samples and after listening our comments/sensing our apprehension....this was un expected and appreciated. Lets face it....if your not happy with the stain color....you got a problem. Anyway...we finalized the decision and the place looks great! The finishing team coated the floors as scheduled. The final crew that comes is the punch list crew.....they address any issues that you may have.....making sure you are satisfied. Wally the Stair Man did a great job as well. He was professional and courteous. We had a minor problem that he addressed immediately, The key thing to remember when working with Lee's is that there are specialized teams that do the work. Plan to meet the lead of each team when they come to your home and communicate with them....they will listen and accommodate you. They know what they are doing....just be prepared and know what you are doing and things will go well.....if you have a concern/desire/issue don't, just communicate and it will get addressed. Finally, the ladies in the front office were very helpful as well....they help coordinate all the planning....which isn't easy, you'll see. There's lots to consider....good thing is they....like the rest of Lee's Team....know what they are doing.
I Do not recommend this company. They are not professional and not responsible. Jeremy never came to make sure that all his promises about the quality of work and the deadline for performing the work were being fulfilled. Workers came to my house about ten in the morning, sat in the car for about thirty minutes and then started to work, and about 11:45 were leaving for lunch. From lunch they returned around 1:30 while smoking they spent about 15-20 minutes about 5-6 times and finished work about five. They worked on average about 1 hour before lunch and after lunch about 2-3 hours; and as the work went slowly and with frequent interruptions there were many differences in the level of the floor due to uneven drying of the adhesive and a lot of empty areas where the board can move and possibly break down and after completing all the work the floor should be at rest but workers don't know about!! The thickness of the engineering board can vary in the range from 4 to 11 mm, which allows for a minimum of three polishing and floor restoration if the necessary technological rules are followed and since they were not performed this is impossible after the work performed by this company!!
This company did the work on a house we purchased
Great company. We had an issue with the work that was done originally, but they went above and beyond to make it right. It is clear that Jeremy and Daniel love what they do and take pride in their company!!
After purchasing our home, we had Lee's Hardwood Floors install oak floors in the master bedroom, stairs, hall, and bonus room. It was quite a project, and took about a week to finish. The installers were professional and cleaned up everything leaving my beautiful new floors as the only evidence they had been here. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of work done. I am eventually going to have all the bedrooms done, and Lee's will be my installer.
Great job and wonderful service. They were quick and efficient and did a beautiful job. Worked to get the right stain with us and made our floors look amazing.
I have a 90 year old house with both pine and oak flooring. Daniel Lee, the owner of the business, came to my home personally to provide the estimate. He asked great questions and was very flexible in working with me to get exactly what I wanted for my floors. This included custom making vent covers that match my current floors perfectly, match the vents that were hand cut and are not a standard size, so that they are perfectly recessed and blend in with the floor. He gave me the price estimate on the spot and the price was reasonable - less that what I had from some others. The floors were really scarred up and now they look beautiful. The finish is just lovely. I had a couple of little details that weren't handled exactly right, but they came out and took care of every issue immediately and courteously. Great company to work with!
Great company to work with. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and helpful when determining the type of flooring I wanted. He was very punctual and had the area measured and was out in no time. Tina was fun to work with and also helpful when making my decision. Just a really professional group. Walter, Rajelo and the other installers were very respectful and know there business. My floor is beautiful thanks to them. I highly recommend Lee's Hardwood Flooring.
