The Floor Store

Walked into the Floor Store in San Carlos, Ca with a special color of wood flooring needed. Our salesperson Laurie DeJong was very knowledgeable and professional and gave us information on the types of flooring available in that color range. She quickly gave us a reasonable quote and we were on our way. We were kept updated on the schedule and she made that date happen for phase 1 of our project installed yesterday by Francisco and another gentleman, and performed a beautiful installation of wood flooring and base boards. Francisco and his partner were very knowledgeable, polite, and professional in their work. We have phase 2 coming up on the 28th and hopefully we will see Francisco again to install the second half. Would recommend the Floor Store in San Carlos for your flooring needs. From their beautiful showroom, knowledgeable staff and wonderful installation experts, it is a successful ongoing project.

the installation was good, but they didn't move all the furniture back in place. I had to move 24 pieces myself. Also, they damaged a hall light, that I will have to repair. Also, the extra charges, $750, for leveling seemed to be arbitrary, with no real clarity on the charges. the contract indicates $225 per bag and they advised they used 5 bags. but I don't see how 5 bags could be used for a very small area of 20 square feet. they must be very small bags. I found, on line, 1 - 50 pound bag covers 30 - 40 square feet. funny huh

Huge selection. Overwhelming at first but the staff walked me through the process. Next time I renovate I'll definitely be back.

They have faulty merchandise and want you to pay for it. Lousy customer service! Avoid them at all costs, Home Depot has better flooring at better pricing.

I was promptly greeted by Julie Gurrero upon entering the Sunnyvale Floor Store. She listened to my needs and pointed me to the luxury vinyl plank flooring appropriate for my bathroom remodel project. We reviewed options together and I quickly recognized the same flooring and colors that a local competitor had for sale. Julie offered a price per square foot more than half the price that I was quoted by a local competitor - for exactly the same product! Julie loaned me samples so that I could match them with my home decor and a few days later, I returned to purchase the flooring. The ordering and payment process was quick and easy, and my flooring arrived about a week later. Due to travel, I had Julie hold my flooring at the store until I could pick it up after work, about two weeks after it arrived. The flooring was delivered to my car, I signed for "delivery" to my car, and I was off! What a great experience it was to work with The Floor Store, and mort especially, Julie! Thank you, Julie!

This was my first time visiting The Floor Store while getting started on a remodel and the young lady I worked with, Diamond, was great. She was super helpful in guiding us through the process and very knowledgeable about the products. We definitely look forward to working with her!

Damian went above-and-beyond is an understatement. This is my first experience with the Floor Store. They will be my new go-to store for everything floor. Damian recommended the perfect products to eliminate height issues and was proactive in lining up an alternative for potential covid delays. Hank managed the install, which went seamlessly and finished ahead of schedule. The floors are stunning, I couldn't be happier. A shout out to the entire install crews! I saw my friend's beautiful bamboo hardwood floors in her beautiful Palo Alto house. They bought them from San Carlos Floor Store for a great price. I checked out many other stores until that day and I could not find anything that I liked so much at such a reasonable price. The price was unbeatable and the color+ quality was great. The next day, I went to San Carlos Floor Store and put payment of $ 75.00 ( counts towards your materials later) right away so that Patrick could come and measure my house. Patrick is amazing, so much fun to work with, and gave me his opinion about not covering the closets; that's honesty! His measurement was accurate. I only had one box left after the installation and that's exactly what one wants. I got my first estimate from one of the sales associates and then Jennifer, the store manager, worked with me thoroughly. It was a pleasure working with Jennifer. She has great people skills and is a strong problem solver. Another branch store is only one mile away from my house; she facilitated my materials pick up from that store and I saved time and money. Jennifer went above and beyond during my project and I told her that her middle name should be customer delight. She is an expert in her store and shared her knowledge with me generously. She owns any challenge. You can hear the smile in her voice and it is contagious. I bet she brings customers back to the store after the first experience with her accountability. I made a huge mistake by not agreeing to the Floor Store own the full project and use their services for labor. I used an independent contractor. Jennifer heard my experience with the contractor and is supportive of me even though it does not bring a dime to her account. She is that strong customer advocate; it is all about customer care and delight. When I buy my materials from the store next time, I am making sure that they are also installing. I am not buying anything from any other brand after this experience. Thank you for being there, Jennifer.

I had planned on visiting several stores in my area, but stopped after my visit to the floor store. Thankfully, Reggie simplified the entire process and everyone loves my new carpet.
