We are an interior design firm in the Los Angeles and work with Jeff at Universal Hardwood for all of our projects. They have a really great showroom with hundreds of different types of flooring. If you can't what your looking for at Universal Hardwood then you won't find anywhere else either. They are super helpful, nice and the experts in hardwood flooring. I would highly recommend them if your looking for hardwood flooring.

I have worked with Universal Hardwood on dozens of occasions over the past 10 years. Universal Hardwood's showroom is amazing. They have over 2000 different types of flooring from the budget-minded to the high-end. There is a floor for everyone. The owner, Jeff Meltzer, is extremely knowledgeable as he is a National Wood Flooring Association Inspector in his own right. The employees are also very nice and helpful. If you're looking for beautiful floors, you must stop by Universal Hardwood's Showroom!

This is one fabulous little boutique store with a great selection and an extremely nice and helpful staff (especially Mario). Wendy and Jeff, the owners have helped us through our project, allowing the staff to bring up samples to our house to make the selection easier. After visiting 20 or so stores around the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area, we purchased our hardwood floors at Universal and they look just fabulous!!! Any other remodel and we will head straight there.

We recently replaced our hardwood floors with beautiful Lauzon 5 3/16 inch maple. Universal provided excellent guidance in selecting the wood in a customer friendly manner. Once it was selected, the project was started within a week. The installers were excellent, providing attention to detail. We are very happy with the completed installation. Our condo looks fantastic with the new updated hardwood floors.

I hired Shorty's Hardwood Floor, Mr. Daniel Ramirez, who was referred to us through Universal Hardwood Flooring. Mr. Ramirez and his team performed a superb job. Mr. Ramirez was very professional and accommodating. His team put in these beautiful floors and he helped personally hand stain my stairs. The work was done fast, on time, and to this day I have guests complementing me on the floors. I have recommended many friends and family to him and will continue to do so. Plus, it also helps that he is a very nice person!

Wendy from Universal Hardwood helped us select and customize our hardwood floors. We chose their unfinished long planks of white oak, and she recommended wire-brushing them and finishing them with a medium walnut stain, and a durable Glitza finish. They turned out beautiful, and we are IN LOVE with our floors. Universal Hardwood has a nice, tasteful selection of woods, and the owners were knowledgeable, helpful and patient during the whole process. Their installer was also very good. If I had to do this again, I would not hesitate using them again, and I recommend them to anyone who is looking for high quality hardwood floors. In terms of price, we believe we received good value.

I needed hardwood flooring for a modern rental unit I was building. I first visited Lumber Liquidators and did not like the high pressure sell or the choices or even the prices. Home Depot had limited selection and nothing that would work - no real service. I found Universal Hardwood on the Internet. Mario was super helpful, understood what I was looking for and showed me several choices in my price range. I purchased a beautiful maple engineered hardwood floors. Mario handled all my post sale questions efficiently and helped my contractor load the flooring onto the truck. Parking in easy, right on the street. I would never go anyplace else for hardwood floors. They also have so great hardwood care products if you live in the West Los Angeles area.
