Philosophy Rather than focusing on a single style, Nicole Forina Home draws influence and inspiration from a variety of sources. Our designs are a confluence of items that utilize all price points, style eras, and design philosophies. From classic to contemporary, flea-market treasure to fine antique, interior design is a living art—it’s meant to be enjoyed aesthetically, but not at the sacrifice of comfort. That's why at Nicole Forina Home, we work with you in a collaborative process to ensure a custom interior that conveys your unique story. Of course we want you to be thrilled with the finished product, but we want you to feel likewise about the process. We believe in honesty—we don’t conceal pricing; we don’t hide commissions. And we put an emphasis on customer service—the journey is just as important as the destination. We’re providing our clients with a lifestyle and a service—transparency and support are the cornerstones of our beliefs. About Nicole’s design career started in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she received a degree in Fashion Merchandising with a focus on styling and product development. She continued her education at Kean University, achieving her second degree, this time in Interior Design. Nicole has been employed at M. Frederick and Valerie Grant Interiors. In her time there, she formed Dalliance Design, her first design company. After seven years with Dalliance, she moved on to form Nicole Forina Home. She currently works part time at Schwartz Design Showroom, an exclusively trade-only showroom. Over the last eight years, this has given Nicole the unique opportunity to specialize in the sale of luxury furnishings, while simultaneously building valuable relationships with some of the industry’s most respected designers and suppliers. As the lead showroom merchandizer and buyer, Nicole is continually honing her styling skills; her employment puts her in a unique position where she’s on top of trends and in direct contact with vendors.

Lucy Harris is a full-service interior design studio based in New York City. Building on personal histories rooted in design, Lucy and her team create spaces that are reflective of the people who inhabit them, mingled with their own love of modernism. Lucy Harris’ process is a collaborative one. The studio takes all aspects of its clients’ lives into account to yield a unique narrative for each room. From the initial vision through to completion, Lucy Harris ensures that every detail, every accent, every moment is meaningful, intentional and beautiful. Lucy Harris’ clients come from varied backgrounds, but have one thing in common: A desire to live in homes that tell distinctive stories. The studio has worked on residential and hospitality projects in New York City, Westchester and the Hamptons and embraces the opportunity to work on design projects the world over. About Lucy Harris Growing up in a modernist house in Concord, Massachusetts, Lucy Harris was surrounded by, and given an appreciation for, thoughtful design. From her great-great grandparent’s eclectic art- and antiques-filled Federal townhouse in Beacon Hill (now the Nichols House Museum) to her great-grandparents’ Arts and Crafts summer home in Ipswich, Massachusetts to the Mid-Century house where she currently lives in Westchester’s Usonia, Lucy has always surrounded herself with thoughtful, beautiful, timeless design. Building on that heritage, Lucy continues to be influenced by many different movements in art and design, from the Bauhaus to Minimalism. Eclecticism is at the root of her designs, and her work is reminiscent of the “impossible bouquets” of Dutch Master painters, in which flowers that would not normally grow together exist side-by-side in the name of art. An avid traveler who has lived in Rome and Milan, Lucy visits Europe often for inspiration, and sources furniture, rugs, lighting and materials from all over the world. She also works with skilled craftspeople from Los Angeles to Brooklyn to realize her custom designs. High End Residential Interior Designer “Every project is a new experience – there is no set formula to the way I design. I listen to my clients and try to understand what is important to them and how I can help turn their desire into reality. Having traveled extensively through Europe and Asia on fashion buying trips, I find my inspiration comes from many different places. From a beautiful hand knotted rug or luxurious fabric, to a whimsical trim or a unique piece of art…one piece can set the foundation for a room and everything else evolves from that. I begin by finding the key elements that will make the room function properly and comfortably, and then layer in pieces that will personalize and bring the space to life.” —Valerie Grant

Whether you are designing to stay or staging to sell, it’s hard to admit when you need some help in either of these aspects in your NJ home. I can help you create the functional space that you envision and deserve and love to live in. Hiring an interior designer can be a little intimidating. My goal is to build a long term relationship with you so whenever you have any design needs in the future you feel comfortable enough to call me. Interior design takes more than just selecting paint and furniture. There is project management, budgeting, and problem solving. I make it a point to communicate and work with you to get your space to where you want it to be. While most of the work takes place before the first installation or purchase, I can help make this process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. If you are selling your home, I can simplify and enhance focal points in your home so that it will sell quickly and at maximum price. With full access to furniture inventory, accessories and artwork, I will customize your home to give it that extra edge for the perfect look. My fresh approach and vision can showcase your home to its fullest potential, so it is market-ready and shows beautifully to all prospective buyers. The cost of staging a home is always less than the cost of your first price reduction. It is a great investment for homeowners who want to sell quickly and for increased value. A staged home can sometimes sell twice as fast as a non-staged home and possibly as much as 15% more.
