Bassett Furniture

WARNING!! While the Bassett furniture may look beautiful in the pictures, the actual quality of their products is not. IN ADDITION, they completely lack both customer service and quality assurance departments. Our sales woman ordered the wrong draw pulls for our bedroom furniture. It has taken 3 1/2 months of me calling Bassett to finally get 15 draws for the 2 nightstands, 6 draw dresser and 5 draw chest to be replaced. When they came to deliver the new draws, at least FOUR were damaged and unable to be installed. In addition, another draw had neither the draw pull or the hole drilled for the draw pull. Of course, no one from Bassett reached out to us to rectify the situation and we AGAIN had to make multiple calls. It is now going to take an additional 4-6 weeks for our order to be processed, 2 weeks for it to be shipped and an additional week to set up delivery. BUYER BEWARE!! Lucille Most at the Garden City, NY store did not place the right order and Bassett is only interested in keeping your money and giving you the run around.

I could not be more disappointed in the general quality of my Bassett dining room table. We purchased the custom made Bench Wood product and with only a few months of everyday (not excessive) use, the wood seats have deep scratches. Bassett's warrantee is for manufacturing issues only; however, I would think a $600 chair would have better warrantees for general quality.

I had purchased apx. 10K in furniture from the new Chandler store. The designers came to my home and helped select fabric. We had some issues with the fabric when the sectional arrived but the store quickly resolved the issues. The designers came back to our home and helped correct the fabric issues and worked with me to ensure that their product was the perfect fit for our space. Thank-you Chandler Bassett for the amazing service and response!

My experience with Bassett has been great!! We moved and furnished our entire new home through Bassett. We had one of their interior designers come out and help with the floor plan. My husband and I had a great time in their show room picking out styles and fabrics. Everything we have is custom (without the custom prices). We had a few issues with a couple of pieces and the manager in Green Brook, Scott Levy, repaired each piece without any issues. He is great, his staff is great and I look forward to using them in the future.

I bought my furniture a few pieces at a time, paid it off and got a few more pieces, paid them off and got more, until my house was filled with gorgeous high quality furniture. 10 years later; I am still happy. BUT... I got married and my motion bed was too small for both of us and I made the mistake of going to "Luckies furniture" in Biloxi Ms. I paid $4000 for a king size two sided motion bed. BUT... Their mattress has a pillow top that seporated in a few weeks and makes a gloob of fabric in the bend where my hips are. I complained and they said that I misused the bed. That I had to make the bed flat before getting out? I am ill and use the bed to help me get out! Anyway Bassett, I am soooo sorry that I didn't go back to your store in Gulfport MS. and went to Luckies furniture in Biloxi MS. I WAS A $4000 fool!

If you are looking for service, Bassett is NOT the place. The couch that was built for me (that fact that they built it was stressed when it did not show up as promised). Now that I need a piece fixed, it cannot be done. I can buy a piece of leather for $47 PLUS shipping (we are talking an area less than 6 inches). AND the area is too much for their guy to do. I'll have to find someone myself to get it fixed. So they can build a whole couch but cannot repair yours when you have a problem. Could not be less satisfied.

Bassett sales manager Eddy says, "We want to make our customers happy" Our experience? A complete waste of time and money! Happy? I'm pissed off! My only retribution, at this point, is to warn others NOT to shop at this store for anything! WE WASTED OVER $4,000! The so-called 'designer' we worked with did not come to our home...instead, she looked at pictures we provided and advised that we purchase a dining table/and chairs that ended up being too massive for our space. When I called to discuss this situation, Eddy and company basically said, "Unfortunately our designer couldn't come to your house to measure, and there's nothing we can do about it" Hey Eddy, why do you have a designer? Isn't it to prevent these kinds of potential problems? Wow! Hey Bassett, is this anyway to build or promote a business? Do you think I'd ever recommend your company to anyone I know? The return policy sucks! Everything is a 'custom order'. Once they've got your money, you're screwed! I regret ever walking into this store!

Five years ago, I purchased a whole living room's worth of furniture from Bassett: sofa, loveseat, 2 upholstered glider chairs, and two ottomans. My sales representative was enormously helpful in choosing the furniture and fabrics and is an expert interior designer. She even provided guidance on wall paint colors and other non-furniture related decor, even for adjoining rooms, for free, because I was purchasing furniture from Bassett. I am still thrilled with my living room: everything is still in excellent condition and still in style!. I am now looking for dining room and bedroom furniture and hope to find what I want at Bassett because the quality is so good.

I bought a dining set from them and the table is .5 inches taller than what they advertised, and the chairs are 1.5 inches shorter than what they advertised. So basically, the table comes up way too high when I sit at it, making it non-functional. I called to ask if they can take an inch and a half off the base, which they will not do. So much for being custom made!! We paid up to $3000 for a table that makes me angry every time I look at it. My poor kids have to stand up on the chairs to eat dinner. Our sales lady told us to get booster seats. I'm way too old for a booster seat. So today, I will have to spend the day trying to call the right people to help me, or call my lawyer. So annoying!!

Purchased a king bed and was not completely satisfied with mattress received a plush and would like firm. Called local Rochester Store and could not get an answer about Bassett's comfort guarantee, if any or exchange policy. Along with King Set we purchased bed and two nightstands which we are happy with. If buying a Mattress set, purchase from an establishment that has a comfort guarantee or exchange policy for their mattresses, Bassett does not.

Buying furniture can be a trying experience.. Not the case at Bassett in Louisville, KY. The designers were extremely helpful and the store manager Tonya Mattingly is a very gifted designer and you couldn't ask for a better person to run this store. She was well beyond helpful and is a true professional. Go to Bassett in Louisville and she will make sure that you leave the store completely satisfied and with a good feeling about your buying experience . A+ It doesn't get any better than this and I have purchased furniture from most of the major manufacturers

I went to Bassett Furniture in Dublin Ohio recently and chose furniture for a client of mine. The sales person, Aletha Evans was fantastic. She explained the line and all the different options the sofa's came in. I selected a product for my client and the furniture was delivered a little over a month later. The product quality was very nice and the client was impressed. I will definitely go back!
