Established in January of 1986, Benjamin Rugs & Furniture started as an importer and wholesaler of handmade oriental rugs. Co-owners Benjamin and Stephanie Aziz decided to add home furnishings and accessories to their mix of products when they opened their first retail showroom in late 2000. Shoppers will find a large selection of both traditional and transitional home furnishings, all presented with a unique sense of style. The store carries pieces from some of the best known manufacturers including, Bernhardt, Hooker Furniture, Theodore Alexander, Hickory White, Lexington, Vanguard Furniture and many more. Benjamin Rugs & Furniture has showrooms on two levels, each with a unique personality, and both designed by Stephanie Cohen. Also on staff is the highly acclaimed interior designer Vaso Vergis. Because Benjamin Rugs & Furniture maintains a vibrant rug importing and wholesaling business, customers will find a huge inventory of all rug types and sizes, at competitive wholesale prices. The company also carries custom hall and stair runners, as well as a full selection of wall to wall carpet. ***WARNING*** I ordered a coffee table from Stephanie Cohen Home (also doing business as Benjamin Rosin Home) that was delivered damaged. Not just a little scratch either - like got squished in transit, completely unrepairable. So the delivery company said you can keep it if you want for now, they'll send a new one. Well turns out that that was the last one there is, so they said the delivery company would coordinate picking it up. Well it's two months later and this delivery company says they are still waiting on Stephanie Cohen and they don't have a "pick up slip" to retrieve the table. I keep making appointments, moving heaven and earth to be home for them, and then when I call to confirm they say they can't pick it up. Stephanie Cohen won't give me a refund until they have the damaged table, but they also won't pick it up. I'm not sure if this is some type of scam but I would very much advise you to stay away. I'm not sure what else to do now, I'm out $2000 for a broken coffee table that I also can't get rid of.

This was the most absurd experience I’ve ever had. I ordered this in January and starting in May i kept started getting replies to my inquiries telling me my item would be deliver “this month”, then this week”, now it’s July. Completely unacceptable communication.

If you want Great Furniture, Honest and Professional Staff with integrity, Shop at Benjamin Rugs and Furniture. The owners are the most honest people I have ever experienced in the retail sales business. The staff they employ are not only knowledgeable, but also are honest and have a great sense of style. They work with a single sale as they do with people who are spending in the thousands, with thought and concern for your needs and great source of information. If you need help deciding what works best for your style, they are great! They are not pushy or hard selling in the least and I can't give them enough praise for their honesty and integrity while having fantastic quality of furniture and wonderful taste.. They are the best and have certainly earned the 5 stars that they have received.

Couldn't have been happier with my purchases! Ordered two gorgeous sofas for my den and a custom Macassar Ebony dining table and they beat competitors prices every time. Stephanie (better taste than any decorator I've come across) came to my house, gave me her HONEST opinion and helped me visualize the best layout and dimensions for my room!!! Benny sat with me for hours until the dining table was just right-size, finish, color. Never felt rushed or pressured. Professional, reliable, honest and exquisite furniture....can't speak highly enough! No need to shop anywhere else.

Stephanie and Benjamin had a lots of good design ideas for my Manhattan 2 bedroom apartment. Wall-coverings, carpets, furniture, tiles... during the 5 months renovations, they helped to get it done on time and were able to come on site to evaluate my needs. They were not carrying a specific designer that I wanted for my wall sconces and ceiling lights (Artemide), but they were able to get a nice discount from the warehouse directly. I highly recommend working with them.

The Roosevelt hotel in NYC needed three presidential suites completely redecorated for some very important international guests. I went to " Benjamin furniture and rugs" to go over the entire project with the owner Benjamin. With his help I put together a proposal and got the job. The furniture, rugs, art work and lamps all came from Benjamin's store. He gave me the time and help I needed to put together three beautiful, elegant suites. The delivery, although difficult, the security was extensive around these guests, went smooth. The set up was perfect. Thank you Benjamin You are a good man and an great asset to anyone in need of high end decorating.
