Lori, Dan and the Red Door team turned our house into something extraordinary. They listened to us, understood what we wanted and did everything they could to make our wishes a reality. From the moment the project began we knew that we could count on them to kept us well informed and aware of what was going on every step of the way. Their trades were all skilled, very respectful and we were comfortable having them working in our home. Lori is well organized, keeps a very tight schedule. She is a gifted designer with a keen eye and remarkable taste. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her. We are so happy that we chose Red Door and would recommend them without hesitation.”

From the initial consult, through design and colour matching to the fabrication of my heirloom quality table, their skill and professionalism shone through.     “Family meals are special times so I wanted a special dining set that would serve an evolving family and eventually become a cherished heirloom. After searching most of the furniture stores in Calgary, I realized I needed a custom design. Fortunately I found Keith, an amazing artist whose wood creations are beautiful, timeless, and meticulously crafted and engineered. Keith made for me tables and chairs that are "sculpniture", both sculpture and furniture. The chairs are beautiful but, as importantly, are exceptionally comfortable. The seats are canted and shaped and the laminated back slats are curved to support the back. The table is solid wood without veneer so when it's time to refinish, a little sanding will make the table new again. The 5ft6in round tabletop is firmly supported by a pedestal that is surprisingly elegant. The table also opens to accommodate two 14in leaves, a feat that requires a sliding mechanism that Keith designed and built. The mechanism is so remarkable, I will lie on the floor under the table so I can admire it. And I've had the set for over 20 years. I recommend Keith without reservation. Best of luck with your project and enjoy your collaboration with a gifted artist and wonderful human being.”
