So blessed to have worked with James on my office desk project. James has incredible skill and vision to help complete the picture I had in my head. He was incredibly open to dialogue and brainstorming how we might go about making ‘the possible’ happen. Every time I look at my desk, I see something that is one of one and something that only James could produce.

Where to start…. I brought James and his team some very rough cherry wood from our family home. I gave them total freedom to create and build something for my parent and my family. He communicated very well, but i really wanted their creativity to shine. They took it from there and built two beautiful waterfall coffee tables. We were blow away by what came of the product we dropped off. Amazing craftsmanship and creativity. We are very appreciate of their hard work and would highly recommend for any project…. Especially if you let them do what they do best.

We drove by his home/workshop many times and loved watching him grow. We recently did a remodel in the kitchen leaned towards a live edge walnut table. I did some shopping around at furniture stores, then decided to give Cedar Mill Designs a visit. James was so willing to explain his process and look at his walnut slab options and give us a price. I fell in love with what he had to offer. He went above and beyond to help us make a decision without a sales pressure. We went home only to call him right back and order the table. He gave us a time frame and completed it early. James and Seth delivered the table., set it up where I needed. They are a great team, very professional and great to talk to. His personality is infectious. Love the quality of my new table and talking about possibly ordering more items to completer our kitchen in the future.

James did our bar and we thrilled with the results. We not have a great bar. James worked with our timeline and was able to help out with storage of pieces.

Where do I begin? Is there a limit to the number of characters I am allowed? James Vermeulen who founded and started Cedar Mills is a man of God and unbelievably kind. Not only do I have an immaculate and beautiful piece in my home now as my countertop, my high top, I have a piece of God. I truly believe that this beautiful slab that is live on both sides is anointed. I went to see James on Monday morning of this week and picked out a beautiful piece of Ash to serve as my countertop on the high top piece of my kitchen remodel. James joyfully prepared and finished this slab with his employee, Seth, and they delivered and installed it on Thursday afternoon. I feel a sense of peace in my home because of this beautiful artwork in my kitchen. It is impossible in this world today to find artisans and craftsman who truly take joy in their work and pride themselves on what God has enabled them to do. I would step in front of a bus for this man and the work he does and the love that he puts into it. You will find no one better to decorate anoint your home with one of his beautiful pieces.
