Frederick's Furniture Gallery Limited

Though the quality of the furniture we purchased appears to be good to this point, we discovered that the prices at Frederick's Furniture is significantly higher than the exact same product from exactly the same supplier when sold by other retailers. We purchased a bedroom set by "Handstone"; a quality product created in St. Jacob's Ont and distributed by several retailers. After we purchased this set, we found that while Fredrick's gave us a 'discounted price' of $800 for each end table and $2669 for a dresser that 'regularly' sold for $1100 each and $3679 respectively, we could have purchased EXACTLY the same products from Berkshire Furniture in Mississauga for $1778 LESS overall (with taxes included). Berkshire Furniture sells the same 3 drawer nightstands for $829 each and the same 8 drawer long dresser for $2199. When asked about this discrepancy, Frederick's informed us that their overhead was higher - a claim that surprised us as Frederick's is located in Guelph while Berkshire is located in the heart of Mississauga. We were also told that 'Berkshire always tries to undercut' Frederick's Furniture. Ultimately, from our perspective this is a case of 'Buyer beware' and the value of research prior to making significant purchases.

From our first visit to the showroom of Fredrick’s Furniture Gallery to the delivery of our furniture, we found this company to be professional in every sense of the word. Gary spent hours with us at the store and at our home, as we worked out exactly the design, colour and quality we wanted. The final product was absolute perfection. Gary and his team delivered the furniture, unpacked it and set it up, making sure it was placed to full fill the design vision. Three rooms in my home are decorate to perfection and are unbelievably stunning. Every dealing with Fredrick’s was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this company for both the service and their quality products.
