Hill Country Woodworks made a beautiful dining room table for my husband and me. We went to Mark with just a picture of what we were thinking we wanted; he took it from there! The finished product is exactly what we were dreaming of, Hill Country completed the project in less time than promised with updates along the way.The price quoted was the price paid, much less than other tables I had seen in my search. I highly recommend Hill Country Woodworks for any dream you might have of custom made woodwork projects.

I had a table and chairs made by the company and was extremely pleased with the result. I also had pillows recovered. Again the service was excellent.

We bought our first Hill Country couch 30 years ago. It is still a fabulous couch but we had to give it to one of our sons when we moved away. Our first son married and he and his wife bought one for their house. We purchased a couch and love seat and two chairs for our new home. We would give Hill Country 6 stars if we could. Their service is great and the quality of their furniture is terrific. Comfortable, beautiful and durable.

Working with Mark and Hill Country Woodworks is always a pleasure. They have helped us with several projects. Mark is very thorough, answers all of our design questions, provides valuable knowledge about various wood species, and even builds design mock-ups when necessary. He has helped us come up with beautiful, functional, and very custom designs for our clients. We never worry when Hill Country is handling one of our custom wood projects. The end results are always beautiful!

This review is one year late but still applicable. Mark Todd finished and completed (Feb. 2015) a piece of furniture for my wife that is really beautiful. It is a display case for her beadwork. I gave Mark a finished table, but I needed a glass top that can be raised, glass sides, and everything else necessary to make it a display case. The result was elegant and functional. Mark came up with the design and his execution of the design was exceptional. Only recently did my wife get her display set up, and with the beadwork inside, the piece looks twice as nice. We couldn't be more pleased. Mark was easy to communicate with, patient, and accessible. I gave the table to Mark just before Christmas, and he completed in about 2 months, which in my opinion, was a very reasonable time period. And, not least, his price was very reasonable. I should add that his shop was well organized. All in all, working with Mark was a positive experience.

My husband and I purchased a sofa from HCW in 1985. The sofa moved with us from Chapel Hill, to Charlotte, to a farm outside of Charlotte and 5 years ago to a cottage on the NC coast. Today it is just as beautiful and functional as the day it first arrived in our home. I remember the kind staff being very patient with us as we debated the style of our first major purchase as newlyweds. And more recently I worked with Mark Todd on new slip covers appropriate for a beach decore. He was most pleasant and professional to work with and offered great suggestions regarding the new fabric. Hill Country Woodworks furniture is as durable as it is pleasing to the eye. Our sofa has been home to my husband and I and more than a dozen active German Shepherd Dogs over the last 3 decades. I inherited a huge sea chest that had been around the world several times, and I could not bear to part with it, but had no space to store it. I contacted Hill Country Woodworks to make me something out of it. The base of the chest turned out to be African mahogany, so they made two beautiful end-tables for me -- I'm so glad to keep something from that old chest.

I loved working with Mark to design furniture pieces that are unique and exactly what I wanted. The craftsmanship on the final pieces is excellent. I have beautiful pieces of furniture that will last a lifetime.

We brought an idea to Hill Country Woodworks for a couple of barn doors we wanted in our new house and the result was nothing less than fantastic. They took our idea and supplied us with suggestions for improving it and both doors turned out great. I'd posed the idea of putting removable glass panels in the door with small screw in frames and they made it so much better with heavy duty magnets built into the frames. Now I can change the color of my glass seasonally or at my whim. I can't say enough about what quality work these guys do.
