I greatly enjoyed working with Jan on this project. He was great at listening to what I wanted, offering great ideas of his own and merging both our ideas into an excellent picture. I couldn't be more happy with the results and the process was fun too. I highly recommend Jan for any custom art work you might want.

Jan has impressed me with his knowledge of the rare craft of refinishing furniture and painting wall murals. He knows how to create the most accurate faux finishes and has a wealth of knowledge about interior design and furniture of different periods. If you need a specific period item retouched or refurbished, Jan is your guy. Jan also creates lovely vases and lamps as well as other accent items that recall period styles that are of the highest quality. Jan is a rare talent for a specific niche, and I'm glad I know he's there when I need him for the right client.

Jan has done work for us off and on for the past fifteen years. His presence in our home can be seen in many rooms and in a vary of different pieces. The six kitchen chairs he painted and finished are used on a daily basis by our active family and have held up immaculately. A foyer table that I bought at an antique store was repainted by Jan and sets the tone for the entire home in the entrance hall with its unique detail and ornate patterns. An old Bombay chest we bought in Charleston was in disrepair. Not only did Jan paint it exquisitely, he restored the chest back to its original state. Jan's work and vision speaks for itself: one of a kind, elaborate and exclusive.

We have hired Jan Wolf for several projects over the years. Our latest project was to custom paint a wood relief of grapes, leaves, and connecting stems on our newly installed stove hood. As always Jan showed up on time did great creative work and left the place spotless. If you need a custom look for walls, furniture or other objects this is the man for you. Mr. Wolf repaired a fireplace mantel in our 1880's building in such a way that it impossible to determine which parts are original and which have been repaired. The missing detail in the wooden mantel was at eye level and difficult to ignore. I had resigned myself to living with this defect. Mr. Wolf did an amazing job of restoring this important piece of history.

Jan did an immaculate job on an island for my boutique. He captured the essence and vision of what I wanted, and perhaps even surpassed my expectations. He is an extremely passionate and genuine person, and I would definitely call him again if I needed another custom piece of artwork.

Jan is a delight to work with. He is a creative & organized artist. Jan painted a claw foot tub & mural for us in 2002 which still looks so beautiful We have our own business Curtis Visual Communications. We understand the importance of creative, organized, deadlines & budgets. Jan understands the importance of those as well.

Jan was so easy to work with, even with "deadlines"! He was thoughtful, organized, and efficient! He prepared renderings quickly that were beautiful, and when I needed a change in "orientation" of the art piece he accomplished it immediately with the "deadline" hanging over his (and my!) head!
