LA native artist Josh Lawrence is committed to his woodworking, designing and constructing of the highest quality furniture. Starting as a hobby, JL Millworks quickly evolved into a thriving company. Mastering the skills of the trade, Lawrence soon set up a studio to practice his craft, which only helped further his creative design. As Lawrence lives in Southern California, there is no lack of inspiration around, and this can be seen in the variety of styles in his pieces. Lawrence's designs are as inspiring and unique as the city in which he was born. He uses up-cycled materials in his works by modifying and repairing used furniture, allowing him to effectively resurrect the glory of the past. Beyond up-cycling, JL Millworks uses the highest quality woods and other material to accentuate the artistry and utility of each piece. New experimentations with metal, glass, and ceramics are always leading Lawrence's designs in a new direction. Constantly expanding into new horizons, JL Millworks is moving beyond solely woodworking. JL Millworks was founded on hard work and the need to create what inspires its artist, and seeks to bring each customer inspiration and quality.
