Really awful experience with Meg, and MegMade.. I ordered a custom dresser for about $1400. The initial experience was great - good communication and happy with the ordering process. Unfortunately, it went downhill after that. The dresser shipped about one month late, after writing them multiple times (unanswered about a third of the time). Finally arrived and there was considerable differences in the stain quality with blemishes on 4 out of 6 drawers and a sizeable nick on the side of the top... I contacted them, and they told me they'd send a touch-up kit (which they never sent).. the issue with the blemishes and stain was far more difficult. I sent multiple pictures, and basically our routine was sending images, no response, sending a follow-up, Meg not available that day but might be available the next.. no response, more pictures. Finally, after 6 months and multiple negative interactions, they had the drawers picked up for restaining. They did that work and scheduled delivery of the drawers back to me -- their shipping person (MB Lev) was awful to deal with, ended up shipping to my old address (despite making this insanely clear in EMail communication with Meg). They finally ended up sending the drawers back to me via UPS and 3 of them are broken now from shipping and the entire dresser looks like crap. All in all, it's been past a year so I wasn't able to claim a credit card fraud, otherwise I would have. AVOID and beware -- you're much MUCH better off ordering a dresser from somewhere reliable. Like others who have complained, their goto is non-responsiveness and dishonesty. #fail

Megmade has done more projects for me than I can count and all with professionalism, quality and reasonable pricing. Meg and her team have a passion for what they do and it shows in both their business model and in person. My first go to source for client furniture is MegMade's etsy site to find the perfect unfinished style and size that I need and then I can customize with color, stain, hardware and even removing or adding to the piece. I always have it delivered straight to the client's home because her delivery team makes sure all is right before they leave and I don't have to worry about damage to the piece or the home. I would definitely recommend MegMade to others for unique furniture and great workmanship.

I was first introduced to MegMade through a client who told me about her two new "swoon-worthy" pieces from MegMade and how helpful Meg had been through the process of selecting from the many options. I've been to her incredible space a number of times since and each experience has been more impressive than the last. She's guided other clients of mine who purchased straight from the showroom, had custom colors done from the unfinished area and very recently, I purchased off the website AND had two two-toned mid-century dressers entrusted to Meg and her team to refinish and paint. The process of choosing finished vs unfinished and then the many finishing options available is made easy and exciting by the staff who are incredibly welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. This is an impressive operation and the work they do is beautiful. I love recommending their talent and vast offerings and am consistently thanked for the recommendations!

I have been with MegMade from the beginning and have watched them grow into this amazing, creative, and special company. I have two fabulous pieces from them that are true focal points in my home. I have a list of other pieces I want and can't wait to get started -- working with Meg is a dream bc she's great at design, thoughtful in how she helps clients, and will work with your needs until they nail it. I recommend MegMade to people all the time! Check out their warehouse and be prepared to be amazed.

We can't say enough good things about MegMade! They have become a go-to for our all of our projects. We've purchased gorgeous painted pieces and customized furniture by choosing the paint colors and hardware. For the quality and service you receive, their pricing is excellent. Meg and Shelby couldn't be sweeter and they are so helpful. We had a client who didn't want to part with a dresser, but it was missing chunks of wood and held together with duck tape in some areas. Meg and her team completely restored the piece to pristine condition and our client couldn't have been happier! They are the best.

I am working on redesigning our kids' bedrooms and have searched high and low from Etsy to Craigslist to other shops for quality reclaimed furniture. This place is great! The owners, Meg and Joe, are so passionate about their work and it shows in their beautiful pieces. I have also been impressed by their customer service. I am NOT someone who can imagine what something will look like before it is made. Meg and Joe do that. They listen really well and know how to translate loose ideas into beautiful work. IMO, it is worth the out of state delivery to work with these guys.

We are an interior design firm in Chicago and have worked with Meg and her team quite a bit. They are exceptional at what they do, offer beautiful one of a kind products and wonderful customer service. We try to work with MegMade as often as possible on projects. I can't recommend them enough.
