Oskar Huber Furniture & Design

We just made our second large purchase from Oskar Huber. The products are beautiful. The service is extraordinary. Our sales person was knowledgeable and patient. The service team is on the ball. They were friendly and they made sure that everything is just the way we wanted it. We will be buying from Oskar Huber again.

We had been in our local Oskar Huber store a few times looking at pieces as we are currently in the middle of updating our entire house. Each time the sales people were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to purchase two recliners for one of our living rooms. I LOVED everything about them and actually planned the rest of my living room around them. Come delivery day the delivery man points out that they were dirty UNDER the plastic wrap. Both chairs were dirty all over. We tried to refuse them but he told us to keep them and they would pick them up when we got a new set. Everything was noted on the delivery receipt, we took pictures of everything. We reached out to our sales person, after no response (they said she was away) we went into the store to speak to the manager Doug who immediately apologized and assured us they would send out two new chairs. We left feeling impressed and happy that we chose Oskar Huber. That is what you think you pay for, quality and customer service. Two days later Don Huber (he was big on pointing out that he was a ‘Huber’)the service manager called my husband to say someone would be out to clean the chairs. When we asked why because we were told they would be exchanged for a new clean set he said they had none in stock and none on order. Now, my husband owns his own business, we understand that things happen, things come up, but Don’s entire attitude was unhelpful and rude. His whole manner implied that we were being ridiculous to expect that we shouldn’t have to have BRAND NEW furniture that we paid a BRAND NEW price for cleaned upon arrival. He literally said ‘what do you want me to do. I can clean it or give you your money back.’ Not as a question or as an understanding that we did NOTHING wrong but expect that if we paid for brand new furniture that we get brand new furniture but as an exasperated response to something ridiculous. I would’ve offered them the opportunity to clean my brand new furniture that I paid a brand new price for if it had not been for his treatment even though THEY WERE WRONG. We went back to the store to speak with the manager, (we were still willing to work things out as I really love these chairs) but we dealt with another man who interrupted me as I explained what Don had said with ‘he didn’t mean it that way, you have no idea what we are dealing with in our industry.’ Again, my husband owns his own business and has had it affected by product delays, he would never dream of using it as an excuse for a bad attitude in rectifying a problem that occurs due to no fault of the customer. At that point I was unwilling to work with this company again. I told my husband to return them. It’s absolutely unacceptable to expect a customer to be okay with dirty furniture that has to be cleaned. I did not buy floor models, I did not go to an outlet, I went to what I thought was a reputable, upstanding business. You will not be getting our future business.

I purchased an entire family room ($15,000) and saw a terrific piece of furniture in the showroom. I immediately wanted one to complete my family room renovation It was expensive ($2500). When the piece was delivered it was filthy dirty, had scratches on it and had some very noticeable chips in the doors. I called the store and spoke with the manager (Doug) who assured me that the piece was delivered new in a box and was not the floor display. Luckily I had pictures of the floor display and surprise, surprise the same chips were clearly visible. Next I spoke with Don Huber who confessed that they did in fact deliver me the floor display. He made up some story about the new one being a lighter shade and acted like he was doing me a favor by sending me the floor display. BEWARE of Oscar Huber. Any store that try’s to substitute a used piece of junk floor model for new is a shady outfit. I’ll never shop there again. It’s unbelievable to be that they would try to pull something like this, then lie about it, and then pretend they were doing ME a favor. Oscar Huber himself must be rolling over in his grave at the way the business is being run nowadays.

I highly recommend Oscar Huber. We have been using them for years to refurbish our house. All of their staff is very good and very knowledgeable. They are very helpful with putting new things together with existing pieces to make a new whole look that is fresh and interesting. A pleasure to do business with.

We had a wonderful experience working with Heather! She assisted us in choosing furniture and fabrics and gave us some good tips. She listened to what we were looking for and what we wanted to achieve in the room. At no time were we ever pressured to purchase anything! We will definitely return to Oskar Huber in the future!
