I recently purchased a custom sofa from Space Furniture, and I couldn't be happier. It's a replica of the Restoration Hardware Maddox sofa, and the quality is outstanding. Their team was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, from sending fabric swatches to assisting with customization. I am a New York based designer writing this testimonial to help other fellow designers who are in need of a custom upholstery workshop. I discovered Your Space Furniture by chance about 8 years ago and have been using them ever since. Their workroom is based in California; however, they offer flat rate white glove delivery across the country(the cost of their white glove shipping is most likely less than what your local upholstery workroom would charge for delivery and set up). I can’t say enough about YSF workroom’s impeccable craftsmanship- it is like having a bespoke suit made for your furniture design. You’re probably thinking that this exquisite tailoring must come with lead times of months upon months of waiting… Nope! Karina(manager of design and operations) gives trade clients priority production. Speaking of Karina, her role as manager extends far beyond what you would typically expect. She has truly mastered the art of manufacturing custom upholstery- Karina will work with you to refine your design to not only be aesthetically what envisioned but also knows exactly where and what adjustments need to be made in order to ensure that each piece of furniture has the highest level of comfort. YSF uses only the highest quality materials and they offer a huge selection of beautiful fabrics(including performance and contract grade fabrics), as well as COM to trade clients. Every piece of furniture that YSF has made for me over the years has been nothing but carefully crafted and flawlessly finished. I highly recommend making Your Space Furniture your go-to custom upholstery workshop no matter where you are located in the country!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with Your Space Furniture. I am an interior designer and in my 20 years of design never had such a horrible, dishonest, broken promises situation with a furniture manufacturer. The product delivered was terrible quality and Your Space would not stand behind it. In addition they kept and still have a $1400 deposit that my client put down prior to the delivery of the poor quality sofa. After receiving the product, My client refused to use Your Space again and wanted her deposit for the other piece she was considering. Although I have an email in black and white stating the deposit would be refunded, Karina has not and will not return it. This company can not be trusted. Look at their reviews on Yelp, Angie's list and Google. I am not the first person to have a horrible experience with this company. My client fired me over the whole fiasco (never happened before in 20 years) and I had to refund my client over $10,000 at the end of the day. I would strongly advise skipping any interaction with this company.

We ordered a bed, a chaise, a sofa, and a couple of cubes. Spent a lot of time with Karina picking out fabrics that would suit our needs. We're very happy with everything we received. Pieces look great and all came out as expected. Karina was very helpful, keeping in touch throughout the process.

The great: Karina was fantastic to work with in determining complimentary colors for the custom sectional and chair based on our interior color pallet. YSF modified an existing design to accomplish a look we were going for. Karina listened and walked us through the cushion options. We took a leap of faith and went with the Trillium fill vs Down and are not disappointed. Her cushion guidance was spot on, as was her description of "feel". Karina walked us through the delivery process and took a ton of photos of the finished product. The good: Price for what we purchased: a custom leather sectional and chair and a half was reasonable. Ultimately, we went with them because of their willingness to modify a design element, rather then settle for an off the shelf sectional from a manufacturer in our hometown of Milwaukee. The bad: YSF leadtime commitment on our order in 7/2019 was 4-weeks, it took 8-weeks. Communication during the delay was reactive (me e-mailing/calling) not proactive. The vendor responsible for delivery (Metropolitan) damaged some of the pieces. Karina guided us on the information needed to file an insurance claim and assured us the damage was fixable. 10-weeks later, we have our furniture and we are happy with it. However, YSF needed to be more aggressive in resolving the damage issue (10-weeks post delivery is too long) and needed to proactively update us on the progress. As I stated earlier, we needed to stay on top of it, YSF was not an advocate for us and our situation. Knowing what I know now, refusing the delivery would have been the ONLY solution if this happens to you. I'm still a fan though, hence the 4-stars. The product is EXACTLY what we wanted and YSF made that happen. I'll update this post as time goes on to provide a sense for how the furniture wears.

I've never ordered a custom sofa before, or any sofa for that matter. But i can say that my buying experience with YourSpaceFurniture was as good as it gets, and sofa well exceeded my expectations!! I started communicated with Karina regarding the fabric choices and she sent me the fabric samples the same day, which arrived a day later. We had constant communication regarding my option for size, fabric and warranties. Karina was very knowledgeable about all of the options for all. She gave reassuring advice on how to receive the sofa and the process to handle any delivery issues. But I was completely blown away by the product and quality was beyond my expectations Karina I were on the phone often and she's was very easy to talk to. I always felt that she was not just trying to sell me a product and disappear. She gave me great information on aspect of the sofa and warranties for them. I'm confident if there was any need for follow-up with the company, or warranty work, that i'll be able to get in touch with her. I got a sofa customized and blown away form the quality. I customized the size and the fabric. Despite the soft being very large, it's NOT heavy! But don't think construction is weak! The sofa fame is as stiff and sturdy as ever. The seat cushions fit perfectly, and they held in place with a neat D ring system. The seat back cushions are heavy! Super thick and feel as though they'll never thin/smash down over time. the stitching is great too! i have no fear of any of them coming out. The delivery took a decent amount of time to come across the country. But the delivery guys were great and sofa came and was installed without any damage! again, i'm blown away by the quality of this piece! I was very nervous about ordering an expensive piece of furniture sight unseen. But after I speaking with Karina at Your Space Furniture, my confidence grew. She made the process easy and talked me through each step. I was worried about having someone else pick fabric for me, but I supplied a picture of my carpet and told her what I was thinking of and she supplied a plethora of choices that were so good, we had trouble narrowing it down. But Karina guided us through this step, too. I was also very pleased with YSF'S synthetic down option: trillium. It felt wonderful to not only get a super soft sofa that needs much less fluffing than down, but also to know that no animals were harmed so that I could sit in front of my tv! We ultimately ended up with a superior product, custom fit, at half the price we would have paid at the swanky retail store.

My favorite sectional ever! I looked for 2 years before I was lucky enough to find this company. They worked with me to create a custom sofa that fits my family room in size and scale. I was able to select my fabric and the final product is even better than I imagined. The entire process was smooth and the representative I worked with was knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She worked within my budget and the sofa was created exactly to my specifications and delivered on time! I absolutely love the sofa and so does my family - my husband is super happy with the comfort!

I absolutely love this futon. It's stylish, comfortable, and the perfect size for my small apartment. It looks great. It was super easy to assemble (comes with all the tools you need)! It's sturdy. It sits up just high enough that you can use the space beneath for storage or, in my case, a place for the cats to play and sleep. It doesn't take up a lot of space. It's (surprisingly) very comfortable. It's very firm though, don't expect a squishy couch. The different settings (lounge and laying) are super easy to operate. It's PERFECT for the price! I couldn't be happier!!!

I am currently working/designing my sofa and two chars for my formal living room with Karina and she has been exceptional to work with. She knows her stuff more than any custom furniture company I have spoken with and she is professional. I am making the same sofa and two chairs as Hickory Chair for a third of the cost! I am now waiting until I get the set and will send another review. Work with them if you are hesitant, they are wonderful.
