About Us
During the 2000's Amos was working for a door and gate company in Suffolk County New York. Feeling limited as an employee, and drawing inspiration from his father, he decided to incorporate on his own. In April of 2008 "Garage Door Guru" was born. Shortly after Michael (one of Amos two brothers) Joined Garage Door Guru as Vice President and head of sales. The third brother of the family, Sam , put his law degree to work as a legal consultant for Garage Door Guru, helping to guide expansion and assist with other related issues. These key individuals, along with a team of talented employees, set the foundation from which Garage Door Guru Would Grow. With a limited advertising budget, Garage Door Guru began working primarily in Suffolk County, NY. The subsequent growth was inspiring - with two years Garage Door Guru was flourishing in several tri-starte area counties, eventually expanding the coverage area to over a 150-mile radius from thee headquarters.
