Barmac installed undersized, after-market torsion springs when hired to repair our garage door, despite being repeat customers. Their installer wound up the springs to their maximum, but the door was not balanced (which we had no idea, trusting their "expertise"). As a result, the garage door opener broke at the cost of over $600. Now new springs will have to be installed to avoid physical injury or the garage door opener breaking again. They will not even come see the mess they made unless we pay a minimum service fee. Barmac refuses to call back or stand behind their inept, fraudulent work. Shameful, unprofessional, not worthy of your business.

Barmac doors designed custom garage doors for our house, when they were delivered, they weren’t anything but a cheap piece of plywood covered with what looked like fence boards. All the wood was different colours, the back of the doors were a steal frame, with a large rectangle window covering the completely different shaped windows on the front, leaving the wood area inside the window unable to be stained. The boards were filled with puddy to cover the holes and rot. Staples are all visible all over the doors. The inlay piece isn’t even cedar, it is just a piece of plywood. When we tried to contact Barmac to return the doors they were evasive and tired to have us pay to have the doors shipped to them with a promise of returning our money if there was no damage. That alone says a lot about the kind of underhanded company they are. Everyone of our trades could not believe a company would try to pass these doors off as custom or anything close to custom. There sales lady Robin, had no idea what she was talking about for framing installation, as that was our first red flag for this company it only got worse from there on out. We have had no more response from this company and will have to go to small claims court to try to recoup our deposit which was half the price of the doors. I wish there was more room here for more pictures to show the poor workmanship and awful quality that we received. Beware of this company, they are not what they seem to be

I was getting tired of dealing with the hinged doors on my garage and decided to find out what type of door I could get without having to make a lot of changes to the garage. The look is so close that most people think the garage was part of the original design. If I ever decide to go with a different look, you can bet I’ll be calling Barmac.
