It was a pleasure to work with Noelle. We found her after searching on Houzz and felt immediately that she could help us. We had a new landscape installed 2 years ago and several of the plants were suddenly starting to die. After our meeting with Noelle, we learned we had been watering incorrectly and over fertilizing. Noelle was professional, knowledgeable and responsive from the very beginning, which made us feel comfortable right away. She gave us a booklet of watering and feeding information, and spent over 2 hours touring our front and back yards, answering all of our questions. She provided replacement plant suggestions and solutions to get us back on track to saving as many of our existing plants as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Noelle and highly recommend her to anyone having landscape problems, or wanting to simply improve their existing outdoor space!

My husband and I want to express our gratitude to Noelle for providing us with her consultation service. I cannot believe our good fortune at being able to engage the help of the expert whose advice I have been reading on Houzz for the past few years since relocating to Arizona. We recently purchased a home that had been landscaped when it was originally built but suffered from several years of neglect. In spite of saving probably every article Noelle has written for Houzz and reading other publications as well, we nevertheless found ourselves feeling confounded and somewhat overwhelmed by the variety of trees and other plants on our almost two acres and their corresponding disparate care and watering requirements. Our concern turned to relief as we began to see our landscape’s potential through Noelle’s eyes as she walked us flower by bush by tree through our property, identifying each species and carefully explaining how to care for it, including seasonal-specific watering amounts and intervals and when and how much to prune and fertilize. Noelle also advised us on plantings and design configurations that would enhance our outdoor spaces in ways that we desire, such as adding more color, variety, and shade. Finally, we appreciate Noelle’s professional integrity. When so many landscapers profess to offer every conceivable landscape service, Noelle is very specific about the scope of her expertise but is able to make recommendations for services we will need such as irrigation and tree pruning. As we continue to upgrade our property, we are gratified to know that we can turn to Noelle to ensure that the plants we add will enhance our surroundings and be appropriate in terms of design aesthetics and environmental compatibility.

My husband and I were recently transferred from Coastal OC to Phoenix. We moved into a large upscale, sadly neglected rental property in the PHX MTN Foothills. Fortunately, I had begun reading Noelle Johnson's SW Garden Guides on Houzz, from there, I discovered her AZ Plant Lady blog. I called Noelle, knowing this property needed help, even for the short time we would be here (less than four years.) We made a plan to walk the property, noting problem areas and following up with a written report. Noelle quietly listened to and noted my concerns. She has an amazing knowledge of plant & trees that are both drought tolerant and beautiful which thrive, in my case, in the Low Desert. She produced a thorough, practical report in a short time with photos, drawings and instructions. I was very impressed. She solved many problems in unique and cost-effective ways knowing this a rental home. In conclusion, I recommend Noelle Johnson with pleasure and confidence.

After a 6 month renovation of a 40 year old home on an acre lot in the Phoenix area, we needed guidance on space planning for a garden and chicken coop, help with 40 year old citrus trees, and the selection of landscape plants and trees. Noelle was wonderful to work with! She provided us with a guide that had pictures of our yard and all of her suggestions imbedded into it, along with pruning and fertilization instructions...so easy to follow for us as "do-it-yourselfers". Noelle was available for follow-up email questions. Her referrals of products, nurseries and tree trimmers was wonderful. She saved us time and money!

Commented: Floor coveringHello, Plastic isn't recommended for placement underneath landscape rock. It impedes water flow, prevents oxygen from reaching the soil, and eventually breaks up into pieces.
