this is the WORST awning company ever! I purchased an awning from this company, it cost me $3,200, and it gave me problems from the very beginning. They were not able to fix it as it was a recurring problem, I have asked for a refund and a removal of the awning, and the company just stopped communicating with me altogether. They don't have their own service people, and hire contractors that break things when trying to fix things... I HIGHLY advise against purchasing from ShadeTree - sincerely, an extremely dissatisfied customer.

I've had these outdoor blinds for 4-5 years now. They get full sun on long summer days in Edmonton, Alberta. I've stopped taking them down and storing them for the winter because they handle the weather so well! I could probably afford to spray wash them, but they are near perfect still after all this time. Love this product!!

I was nervous to work with a company strictly by phone for a big purchase but was immediately put at ease. A local rep came and did all the measuring to get things started. We decided to build the connecting wood structure and when the pieces arrived they were installed by the rep in under 90 minutes! We've had ours for over 3 1/2 years and have been so happy with the function and low maintenance of our shades they still look like new and we keep them up almost year round!

We initially ordered our canopies in 2006 to shade our South-facing deck. The installer came out to discuss our options and measure the space. He was very polite, knowledgeable and thorough. When we received the materials, however, we discovered the supports were shorter than measured. The factory quickly shipped the correct size replacements and the install proceeded without incident. in 2012, we requested information on replacement fabric panels for our canopies. They sent the fabric samples we requested and confirmed the canopy size from our previous order. The new panels arrived fairly quickly and I was able to install them easily in the original tracks. A couple years ago, I noticed a squirrel was chewing on the vertical support brackets. When I called, the support person said she had heard of that problem but it was only on the model canopy I had, but no others. We agreed it was pretty odd. She asked which brackets and how many were affected and within a short time I received replacement brackets at no charge. I was able to install those brackets easily. They have been good to deal with and I will use them again.

The staff, both sales and the installers were very professional. Product and installation was completed on time and much faster than I expected. My overall experience was outstanding and my canopy is great .

I am an outdoor living contractor in the Pittsburgh area (Archadeck) and choose and ultimately return to suppliers that are good. I want my customers to have a good experience with me as well as the project we do for them. ShadeTree has a great line up of products for every budget. I have been using their products since 2006 with about twenty installations and recommend you give them a try.

ShadeTree have just a phenomenal product; we were building a pergola in our back yard and wanted shade but, worried about losing too much sun/natural lighting for the non summer months. ShadeTree helped us design the pergola for maximum benefit on both measures. People who've seen the installation are amazed by the versatility of the canopies. When we relocated from the area, the buyers who saw our house all commented on canopies as a great feature. Now that we're in a new home,we're installing a new pergola. Once it's built, we'll be contacting ShadeTree again!

We worked with ShadeTree in 2015 on two retractable canopies for our new home. We had previously worked with them in 2007 on three retractable canopies on a backyard update at our previous home. Their work in 2007 was first class. On time and the fit and finish was perfect. In 2015 our project included two pergolas in which we were looking for indirect lighting. We found a fabric in Italy that would suit our purpose, and asked ShadeTree if they would build the canopies if we took responsibility for the fabric. We agreed, ordered the fabric from Italy, and delivered it to ShadeTree. Two weeks later the canopies were delivered on time and the fit and finish was perfect. We've recommended ShadeTree to many friends and will continue to do so.

Scott Cohen here from The Green Scene Landscaping and Pools in Los Angeles. I have used Shadetree sliding awnings for over a decade with great success! These versatile, adaptable fabric awnings dress up your space while cooling it down. As a designer I appreciate that the awnings are available in over 40 fabric colors so that I can coordinate with outdoor furniture and bench cushions, etc. In areas where permit offices wont allow permanent wood structures, I often build an arbor and extend double-sided track to create the feeling of being in an outdoor room.

The sun on our back deck was so strong that we never sat there. Also, winds could reach up to 35 mph, and a regular awning wouldn't work. ShadeTree was perfect! It gave us another room by making the deck usable. I would highly recommend their product.
