“I can’t thank Mike and his team at Capitol City Woodworks enough for the outstanding service they provided on expert structural repair on a large element-aged deck. In considering the project and providing an estimate, Mike first carefully inspected the deck and was able to assess the full extent of the structural issues and the best approach to addressing the needed repairs. He was transparent in disclosing a few aspects that required further assessment once some disassembly took place. He pointed out some other leveling issues a previous contractor had failed to notice. The repair options he first recommended for each item turned out to be spot on. Additionally, he recommended some aesthetic repairs and finish (power wash and fresh stain on cedar posts and roof rafters and underside) such that the whole deck would match and look virtually new. Together, we decided that replacing the aged ceiling fans at a fair price was in order. Mike’s expertise and years of training convinced me to include a few smaller woodworking projects such as shed door replacement, fence repair and staining, etc. On the start date of the project, I was happy to meet the excellent crew lead, John, and the rest of a team of five. I watched as Mike carefully went over everything with the whole group such that everyone would know their roles and the intended outcomes. I was immediately impressed with how seamlessly they worked together with each member of the team on task as individuals and and team members. John worked patiently with me on the very important task of select the stain type and color. He nailed it! Four days later, everything was complete and I could not be more pleased with the outcome.
