From a designer's standpoint, Brad and his team really know how to take care of our customers. They are able to help them get exactly what they had in mind, and are easy to work with. Quality contractors are sometimes difficult to find and trust to send into our customers homes, we don't have a problem recommending them.
Golden Eagle Construction
Helena Valley Northeast, MT General Contractors
October 30, 2014
Golden Eagle built our retirement house in Montana. The house is roughly 3600 sq feet, although the living space is 2500 sq feet. The house presented several challenges not the least of which was the topography of the lot. In addition, the plans called for an elevator, a greenhouse, a shop, and a tower to take advantage of the view. We also wanted radiant heat and universal design for an "age in place" design. All of this might seem ho hum, but the house was built over the Internet, via email, and photos; we are living in Virginia and, as I pointed out earlier, the house is in Montana. Golden Eagle's attention to detail, straightforward business practices, and excellent suggestions were enormously helpful. I don't think that we would have attempted an "Internet house" without Golden Eagle. Would certainly hire them again, but I think this is our last house.

David did a great job replacing 5 windows in my house in September 2018. He was super responsive, started the day he said, and got the job done on time. Even after he was finished, he came back the next day to touch up some paint work and look at one of the window mechanisms for me. Windows, wood work, and trim came out perfect. Couldn't be happier!
Caddisfly Construction
Helena Valley Northeast, MT General Contractors

Caddisfly is a one-person business (resourcing to appropriate skilled workers, artisans, craftspeople as needed.) Can't say enough good things about owner/manager's professionalism, flexibility, integrity, and creativity. By project end date he will have done total remodel of living/dining room, kitchen, two baths, entryway, and closets. Owner/manager has been a partner with me throughout this process—and I intend to contract with him for future projects as well. On site, he's so aware of "the little things" like cleaning up after the day's work, and respecting my space/property! He's a gifted collaborator and encourager. He's well-resourced and has excellent assistants for specialty work. This is my first home-remodel and I couldn't have picked a better associate. I look forward to working with him in the future.

What I absolutely require in a contractor: •Conscientious oRyan is a diligent and focused contractor and he has great understanding when it comes to working with his clients. He listens to their wants and needs and strives to provide exactly what they want. •Attention to Detail oMy contractor must have very good attention to details. The devil is in the details! Details will make the difference between a good job and a fantastic job. Ryan pays attention to every detail on his jobs. My wife and I were extremely impressed with how Ryan and his crew would go back over their work looking for ways to make it better, or give it that special finishing touch. Once when I thanked Ryan for being so meticulous he said, “I don’t like gaps.” That pretty much sums it up…No Gaps. The work isn’t done till it’s done. •Professionalism oTo me there are many skilled individuals in all lines of work…most are adequate tradesmen who know what is needed to do a job and can do it well enough. Some are Professionals. Their work is of a skill and quality that it will out last and out perform that of the average tradesman. The difference to me is something innate; it is the presence of natural talent, combined with the right character, and finally the right training. The skills can be taught, and are to many. The other two, Character and Natural Talent cannot. You either have them or you don’t. Ryan possesses all three! His character is beyond reproach, his natural talent and skill comes through in all his work. •Skill oRyan is a skilled craftsman. He will do whatever you demand of him, but he would prefer to deal in the highest quality materials and design that you will allow him. Please allow him, you won’t be disappointed. •Honesty oIn today’s world it is rare to find those individuals that you would willingly give the keys to your home and all your possessions to, but Ryan is such a person. I know that I can trust Ryan with my largest investment, my home. When you ask him a question, you get the truth. It may not be want you want to hear, Ryan doesn’t sugar coat it or give you vague half-truths, he’s just straight up and honest with you. •Integrity oMore than honesty, I require integrity from my contractors. By integrity I mean that extra quality where you know that the individual has a certain moral code and he holds himself to it. He asks himself; If I were the owner of this project, how would I want it done? How would I want the jobsite maintained? How would I want the property and materials cared for during the job? Ryan has this level of integrity. He holds himself accountable. My wife commented several times during our projects with Ryan how impressed she was with the way that Ryan and his crew cleaned up the jobsite every day before they left. It was impressive. He also kept the work site organized and protected from the elements at all times. •Communication oFinally I require communication from my contractors. Any major construction project is going to run into road blocks and obstacles from time to time, that’s just life. For me, what makes or breaks the deal is how my contractor handles those situations. I must have someone who will tackle these things head on, and most importantly communicate with me about what is happening and why, good or bad. What really stood out with Ryan, is the way he took responsibility for preparing alternatives and options whenever a roadblock did occur. Whenever he did communicate a difficulty with me he always had 2 if not 3 alternative courses of action we could take. In addition to talking to me Ryan knows how to Listen. He listens like you want your kids to listen to you, he takes in what your saying, paraphrases it back to you to make sure he understands, and more importantly so that you know he understands. Then he may even draw a picture just to be certain we’re all talking about the same thing! He is an excellent communicator. So in closing I would say this if your looking for a skilled professional contractor that is honest, has tremendous integrity, communicates well and does quality work on his projects. Ryan De’Esterre is your man. I count myself fortunate that Ryan lives in my community and is available to retain for my construction projects.

I have worked with Gary for several years and he has always done an excellent job. I don't live in the same state as where the work was done, so I had to put a lot of faith in him to do the jobs based on long distance agreements. He has always exceeded expectations! I look forward to doing more projects with him in the near future.
