“Preferred Building did a great job repairing damage done to our house by tenants and preparing it for sale. This involved matching wood, stain and construction methods to the conditions of our unusual home in Chapel Hill. Michael Tyrell is a very bright, organized individual experienced in house renovations and repairs. He is also a very personable young man. In addition to doing everything we asked, he had some great ideas for making the house show better when we sold it. He and his workmen took off their shoes on entering the house and treated it and us with great care. We were very very happy with his work”

“After interviewing several general contractors to do an extensive remodel of our 1950s ranch home designed by architect Sophie Piesse, we selected Larry and Susan from New Dimension Construction. The project began in Nov 2015 and was completed in the Spring of 2016. We tore out walls to make open spaces, completely redid the kitchen and bathroom, upgraded the electrical, plumbing, and insulation, added a new roof, windows, and walls, etc. Throughout the project, we knew what work would be completed each week, what decisions we needed to make, and where we were with the schedule. Susan and Larry were great at communicating regarding different choices and the cost for each. There were no price surprises on this job. The worksite was kept clean and neat which was important as we lived in part of the home during most of the renovation (except for when the HVAC and flooring was installed) using a temporary kitchen. The crew was a pleasure to have around. Larry was extremely knowledgable and brought great subcontractors to the job. As always during construction, we ran into some unexpected issues> Each time New Dimension Construction efficiently and expeditiously helped us find a good solution and move forward. We think the quality of the work is exceptional. There is nothing we would change about the project.”

“Noble Renovations built an addition to our property and did major renovations to the main part of the house. This was a large project lasting 4 months. It involved all of the major trades, framing, drywall, plumbing, electrics, HVAC, painting, flooring etc. Steve's attention to detail and professionalism were second to none. Also his project management skills are very good and everything ran to schedule. Some issues were encountered along the way but Steve was solution orientated and came up with options/solutions. He also changed two steps to 3 steps and I had no idea that was even possible. And he turned a bathtub into a shower. Ken is wonderful to work with and his subs are equally nice. They were very neat which meant a lot to me. He has good ideas and suggestions and can help hold costs down when appropriate. He can explain how things need to be done. At another time Ken had all the duct-work in our crawl space and attic replaced and it was quick and neat.”
