Grove Custom Homes
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 22, 2016
Grove was the builder for our home. Our experience was great. He was consistently available for questions and thoughts. He walked us through the process and managed the project professionally. The build occurred on schedule and within budget. We have been very happy in our home. Carey helped us with designing the home we were building. She was involved in recommending layout, interior products such as fixtures and surfaces, and overall look of the home. Carey was great and a huge help.
Fackler Construction Company
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 7, 2021
I wanted to do a small remodel on my guest bath by removing the tub and creating a nice walk in shower with luxury amenities. Fackler had previously done a number of small handy man type work for me and I had no hesitancy asking them to do a larger project. My next project will be with Fackler too. They were on time, the work was professional, the Fackler employees were exemplary. All in all a very good experience. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your projects small or large.

I hired Shane to build a rather large retaining wall in order create a level level yard in front of my home. It was a sizable task and I wanted it done before Thanksgiving. Shane not only did an outstanding job but he met the time frame I needed. The wall looked amazing and I couldn't have been happier. I frequently got compliments from people walking by about how nice it looked. His pricing was fair and his attention to detail really stood out. The next summer when I needed my roof replaced I didn't even hesitate to have Shane do the work. He again did a fantastic job and I was thrilled. I highly recommend Shane. You won't be disappointed.
J.A. Hand Construction, Inc.
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 22, 2013
Jeff Hand has remodeled two bathrooms and a front porch for me, and supervised the construction of a concrete staircase. Jeff is a master craftsman, does immaculate carpentry, and he is a perfectionist. He is completely transparent about costs and timing, knowledgeable about all aspects of construction, and highly skilled in dealing with subcontractors and material suppliers. I've relied on Jeff for both design and execution. His solutions are practical and elegant. Examples: putting a washer and dryer under a long countertop in a narrow bathroom and making it work both visually and functionally; designing and building (from scratch, and in the pouring rain) a new front porch that gives character to an otherwise dull Victorian. In every case his eye for design is ruled by proper building technique. He pays equal attention to the overall scheme and the smallest detail. I give him the highest recommendation.

Beisas has done a number of projects for me, primarily concrete work, including a very long driveway with built-in drainage, retaining walls and sidewalk work. Most recently they removed an old cyclone fence and put in a nice wood fence with retaining wall. Their work is always excellent. They are always on schedule, very pleasant workers, and the price is right! I would not hesitate to hire them again!

Refresh Renovations Portland Chris Kuhr
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 4, 2020
We worked with Refresh Renovations to repaint our home interior. Chris and team did a great job. Very responsive to all communications, handled all of the bids and scheduling. There were some minor touch ups required, which Chris addressed the same day. The work was completed in a day, rooms were left clean and our kids were able to sleep in their own rooms the same night. Very happy with the end result!
Transparent Contracting Solutions LLC
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 2, 2021
Got estimates from a few contractors before deciding on Transparent for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. They weren't the lowest price but Jon was one of the few contractors who actually listened to when we were describing what we wanted (facelift rather than a full teardown) , kept up a clear line of communication and his estimate was still quite reasonable. Mike and Adam were great to work with; they were responsible for completing all the work with the exception of the tile and electrical but the subs they brought in were well-informed and did fantastic work. We never felt like they were trying to upsell us and offered suggestions/alternatives that would still make the house look great while saving us money. Through every step, we were able to communicate and even change some minor items without any hassle. We ran into a few problems with 5 (!) different tubs being broken upon delivery but this was no fault to Transparent. just really unlucky with deliveries. This pushed back our timeline but Transparent worked tirelessly to bring in what timelines they could and ultimately, we loved the work that was done. Would use these guys again; highly recommend.
Bigfoot Northwest
General Contractors in Lake Oswego
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsOctober 28, 2019
I almost missed the opportunity to work with Bigfoot Northwest. I had already verbally agreed to a bid to remodel and convert my garage but a little voice said to get another bid. Bigfoot NW responded right away and owner/partner Austin came out. He did a thorough walk through, listened to all my ideas and concerns and gave me a very honest straight forward answer. While what I wanted to do was possible, it was not gonna be easy or the most financially fruitful. He then purposed a totally radical idea that completely blew me outta the water. It meant at least a 3/4 cut in bid price for his company but it was the creative and beneficial idea for me financially. Tear down my existing dilapidated garage and get a tiny house instead for half of what it would cost me to rebuild. Friggin genius! Bigfoot would do the demo, and prepare the site, and help me with the hookup. He then gave me a list of tiny house builders with great prices and helped me plan out the set up. I had previously spoken to 4 other contractors up until that point with bids into six-figures, some didn’t even bother to actually take the time to come meet me or do a walk through. I said ADU and they threw me a price. Bigfoot not only took the time to partner with me on this project but Austin and his owner partner Adam, who did most of the demolition, invested their time and experience in helping me build my financial future. I feel very fortunate to know them, they’re top notch fellows and I can’t recommend them enough!!
