CG&S Design-Build
General Contractors in Lost Creek
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 7, 2013
As a contractor I always look forward to working with CG&S Design Build and installing the beautiful landscapes of Architect Gregory Thomas. Over the years I have worked for CG&S I have always been amazed at the quality of design and meticulous attention to detail that I see. They are precise, punctual and always do what is best for the project and the client. I do believe that honesty and the drive to satisfy the client is what has taken them to the top of their game. Many times as a landscaper I am the last person on site. During the project I get to know the clients and spend a lot of time working with them on the details of the landscape, after all the dust has settled, I can say with all honesty that the clients are always happy and in love with their new home or remodel.

I have brought S. Kelly Home Renovations in on a number of projects. What I love most about working with Diana and her team is the seamless communication, promptness, attention to detail and knowing that everything big or small will be cared for in the manner that I expect when working with a contractor. By a long shot, Diana has been the best contractor I have ever collaborated with in my 12 years working in the field of remodeling. Happy clients, happy designer, amazing results!

One meeting with Joe and you have to love him. His affable personality is only overshadowed by his skill and ability to plan space and design. I first met Joe in 2006 when we both worked in the Washington, D.C. market (he in design and me in remodeling) and learned why he has been so successful in design. Having been around the industry my whole life I have come to pick out different projects from well known designers by their "signature" elements. With Joe his only signature is stunningly beautiful design with every project. Considering a designer for your project? At the absolute minimum, give Joe the opportunity to provide input. You won't be sorry.

Capitol City Wood Works LLC

I needed some repairs done to the exterior wood on my house. There was water damage, and some prior repairs were not up to standard. Top that with I'm listing my house in a week. I found Capitol City Woodworks through another app. I contacted them, and within the day Mike Griffin called me back. I told him my situation, and he was at my place within 24 hours to quote. And a very reasonable quote too. He and George pushed me to the front to accommodate my house listing. They went above and beyond. I am very impressed with their work, professionalism, and attention to detail. I will be recommending them to anyone I know that needs woodwork, and I'll be keeping them at the front of the list when I need wood work repairs. Great job.
Melde Construction Company

I have been working with Melde on several projects over the past year and am incredibly satisfied with their attention to detail and flexibility. Projects with strict or tight budgets require a certain amount of flexibility of cost vs quality. Melde has been very instrumental in helping us and our clients stay within budget by having many subcontractor relationships of different levels of quality. This helps us and the client with our push-pull system (an idea where you may want to save money in a place of lesser importance to put money into something of greater importance). We also like that Melde works with us from the initial schematic design phases of our projects to ensure a level of design integrity and budget maintenance throughout the project. This allows us to minimize budget overages late in the project when it becomes difficult and often costly to scale back. I cant express our gratitude enough for finding a contractor that cares as much as our clients and ourselves about the quality of each project down to the finite details. Every time there is an issue in the field, Melde does not relay the problem without proposes several alternative desirable solutions. We are currently working with Jason Knight whose expertise has been valued severely in our current residential remodel project. I look forward to working with Jason, Bernie, and other Melde team members on many other projects for years to come.

I wish I could have given a 5 star review. The owner, Hagai, was awesome. I had a limited budget and did a lot of my own projects and purchased my own materials to save money. This was never an issue and he helped me make the most economical choices without sacrificing quality. We replaced all the flooring in our home with new vinyl plank and some tile, removed all the popcorn ceilings, painted, replaced all the baseboards, put in new countertops and toilets in 2 baths, and upgraded our master bath with a new toilet, tub and tile surround. The work was great and my house looks brand new. I have nothing but great things to say about Hagai, however his main subcontractor Jose was constantly rescheduling or not showing up when he said he would be there and took an extra 2 weeks to complete the work. After the job was finished we asked for a few minor fixes and touch up work. He broke 3 appointments he made with us and when he did come, he stayed for 10 minutes and said he would be back again to finish the job but broke that appointment as well. I would work with Hagai again, but a bad sub is a reflection on the company and Jose needs a lesson in being prompt and professional in a highly competitive remodel market such as Austin.
Together Design & Build

We completed a full master bathroom plus master closet remodel with Together Design & Build Ido, the project manager, and the crew, Ricardo and Ismael, performed excellent work at transforming our bathroom from an awkward and dated 1960s layout to a modern, beautiful masterpiece. Selection Process: We interviewed eight contractors for our master bathroom remodel. We chose Together D&B for a variety of reasons. Ido, the project manager, spent a reasonable amount of time with us to understand the scope of the project, including asking questions and offering new insights to challenges. He provided us with a quote of the project cost before even leaving our house. The written quote included an appropriate level of detail about what the project would entail. The price seemed reasonable compared to the other quotes we had received. We felt comfortable talking with Ido. He was not overly pushy to close the sale. He followed up on multiple occasions regarding our interest in pursuing the work further. Before/Design Process: This is our first home and our first major remodel. We were, understandably, nervous. Together Design & Build provided design service through one of their project managers, Roi. Roi provided some valuable suggestions to the design process when he came to our home. He provided nice 3D Designes images of what our remodeled space might look like. As we were still unsure as to colors/styles/etc., the images gave us a good idea of what the finished layout would be, if not much about how it would actually look when the bathroom will be done. In retrospect, we would have benefited from hiring an interior designer to help us walk through the process of style/color/tile selection. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to decide colors and styles. Hiring a trained designer would have saved time and stress overall. Construction: The renovation, from start to finish, was several of weeks not including installation of the shower glass enclosure. The project was while COVID-19 shelter in place restrictions, which made it a bit challenging. With consideration of the COVID epidemic, we were very pleased that the project was completed and so close to the initial timeline. We communicated with Ido nearly every day via Whats App. He came to the house every other day during the process -- mainly on important day like decisions of electric, plumbing locations, tile designs, during inspections or to collect payment -- but, he was available via Whats App at any time. Ido provided valuable help finding us a vanity and countertop through his contacts. He provided some excellent suggestions at going with a more streamlined look that we are glad for now. He also provided encouragement and pushed us toward making decisions in a timely manner, all of which was needed and appreciated. We enjoyed working with him throughout the whole process. Ricardo and Ismael, the on-site crew, were wonderful to work with. Every day, they cleaned up the bathroom/bedroom work area, as well as their work areas on the side of the house. There was very little extra to clean up when the renovation was complete. They were extremely respectful in their interactions with our family, as well as being in our home every day. Ido promise that his crew are respectful, Ricardo, the lead foreman, checked in with us every step of the way to confirm what we wanted and needed. Ricardo had a great attitude throughout the entire process -- positive and willing to make changes or go above and beyond. At one point, he realized that we might need to order more tile for the shower wall, which would have been challenging regardless of the global pandemic, but even more challenging with it. He managed to find enough pieces in the remnant tile to complete the entire shower and no one would be the wiser looking at it -- a puzzle masterpiece. Completion: We are extremely happy with the finished product! We feel that the overall quality of the work is excellent. We highly recommend Together Design & Build and would hire them again for our future kitchen remodel :)

David has a great attitude. He has the experience and knowledge to make anything work and to overcome obstacles that present themselves. He was key to getting our house remodel completed. The quality of his work is excellent! I have recommended him to friends and family alike. He worked on our kitchen, bathroom, overall house remodel. He has been here from the moment we were done gutting our house. He is now helping us with landscaping projects outside and he is doing a great job with that as well.
