During the bidding process, I was a bit put off by their sounded expensive to me....but their bid turned out to be very competitive for the scope of work. I am very pleased with my project. The tile team, Johnny and Nelu, were especially impressive. The entire remodel team was friendly, customer oriented, and professional. Sam was also very accommodating. Jerzy made the bidding and materials selection process painless. The project was completed on the schedule they laid out at the beginning, and it was great to be able to follow the details of my job's schedule, financial, procurement, change orders, etc. on their website. They handled the inevitable snags in a job this size quickly and efficiently. I hope to do my other bathroom with them next spring.

AFT is an incredible company. They know their way in and out of a new build from the bottom up, but where AFT really shines is in people management. They can keep the trades working, the job on time and home owners happy.
Alliance Contracting, LLC

I've worked with Alliance on several projects. Always professional, courteous and thorough. I've had water damage repair, pipe repair and plumbing issues resolved for a fair cost, especially given the quality of work and the idea that there are no trust issues. That in itself is a high value feeling. Ive had insurance companies and other contractors give me the run around until Alliance stepped in to get the jobs done. Would recommend every time.
Maple Avenue Construction

July 21, 2019
I was contacted by Jon Clark @ Maple Avenue Construction to bid on our kitchen cabinet remodel. We were working under a very tight budget and a very tight timeline as our old home was already sold and we needed to be out of the old home by close of escrow. The remodel was at demo stage when Jon and I first discussed my needs so a lot needed to happen very quickly. Jon and I worked together on the layout and design I desired and through collaboration and recommendations achieved the kitchen of my dreams. When it was time to install our kitchen, Jon made sure the cabinets were on time and perfectly installed. All of the design ideas, sizes and styles were correct and fit just as planned. Once the cabinets were in Jon worked with me to make sure the countertops to be decided set off the kitchen beautifully. I was not crazy about driving from the west side of town to Tempe; however, Jon assured me I would be happier if I made the drive to select my own countertop and slabs. He was absolutely correct! It was eye-opening when I realized the number of options available. Jon was patient and available to answer any questions I had regarding the cabinets and countertops, process for each and any monetary questions. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Maple Avenue Construction if you are seeking a partner for your remodel.
Talavera Custom Remodeling and Restoration
Sacaton, AZ General Contractors
July 28, 2015
Talavera refinished a cabinet for me, 'remaking' it from an old, typically-found brown buffet, to a stunning distressed, off white cabinet that hints at the old brown wood beneath. With attention to keeping the vintage look and feel of the cabinet in place, they reinforced shelves only where needed, and straightened hardware just enough to make the doors solidly functional. The result is beautiful, and the buffet is an eye catcher in my kitchen. Talavera also carried the distressed idea up to my staircase landing by building a bookcase in their woodshop. They kept the comfortable feel of my home in mind when designing a piece that would bring warmth to the landing without overpowering the staircase or looking out of place. Of course it was distressed in a beautiful old-world green. Larry and his crew asked a lot of questions, and made a lot of suggestions, before, during, and after each of my above-mentioned projects to ensure that I loved what came into my home. The Progress Pictures meant a lot to me, and I appreciate that Larry worked with me to stay within my budget and pulled no 'surprise' upcharges. Though I am a person that always wants it 'yesterday', Talavera stayed right on the estimated time-to-complete, and even delivered a little early. Worked for me, and they will be hired again. (Last year they did a beautiful covered patio for my patio home, but that's another post for their remodeling abilities!).

Luster Custom Homes & Remodeling
Sacaton, AZ General Contractors
August 2, 2013
I needed to add a room addition onto my home that would be approximately 12’x16’ and would have its own door leading to the outside and its own ac/heating unit. After spending some time on Angie’s List I came up with three general contractors. The first company sent out a salesman with a personality bigger than life and I enjoyed myself immensely and believed everything he said and was looking forward to getting his company’s bid. The second general contractor, Luster Custom Homes, had the owner himself come out for the initial meeting and bid process. The minute Tanner Luster walked through the door I knew I had just entered another world. Everything about Tanner lends itself towards credibility and excellence and I had my fingers crossed that he would not disappoint when the bid was formally delivered. Both companies stated the same approximate verbal figure, about $40,000. Now here’s the difference, the first company came back at me with a formal bid of $65,000! They had no workup or breakout. They simply handed me a sheet that said $65,000. I wasn’t going to know what I was paying what for, zero, zip, nothing. I was totally blown away and not in a good way. Luster Custom Homes came in at approximately $38,000 slightly lower than what he had stated. And when he physically handed me the bid it was in perfect format with all of the figures broken down into their perspective sections. I was impressed and thrilled and I’ve not been disappointed, not one bit, in all the months we’ve worked together on this project. As an aside, the third general that I had contacted told me that in order to receive a formal bid from them they would require a small down payment. I immediately cut them from the bid process. These, by the way, at that time, were the top three general contractors on Angie’s List. Here’s the deal, Luster Custom Homes has a mission statement that they believe in. It’s built into the philosophy of the company and everyone that works there knows it and represents it well. Their mission is to make the customer happy and to deliver a remodel job that is as fine a product as a new home build out. After working on this project, my first I might add, I can’t tell you how much I’ve come to appreciate this because with them it’s not just words, they simply make it happen right before your eyes. Did things go wrong, yes, quite honestly every now and then something did go wrong. I’ve discovered, and I say this with humor, that construction oftentimes is finding a solution to a problem you didn’t know you had. You have to be creative and you are always problem solving and oftentimes it’s a collaborative effort. Did I have to freak out over it, no, because I knew that I had a general that had my back covered and the subs that work with them know, if they know nothing else, Luster Custom Homes customers have to be happy. And I was! I loved my first superintendent, Greg, who left two-thirds into the project to move out of state. And while I missed working with him on the project I then had the total pleasure of meeting and working with Jared Banner. What can I tell you? This man is just a smile. When he walks onto a project he just makes things happen. Smart, capable, energetic and amazingly honest he’s one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. You email him at 9 a.m. or 10:30 p.m. or even while he’s on vacation and I’ll guarantee you that unless he’s dead you are going to get a really quick response. I feel blessed. While I’ve spoken to so many homeowners who have had such horror stories to tell and I was so committed to not having one of “those” experiences, I was fortunate enough to pick the right general contractor who let me have an enjoyable, if not at times downright fun experience, and he and the men that represent him made my dream come true. Thank you Luster Custom Homes!
